Desert Island Dilemma

by Anna Sugden

I apologise in advance for the brevity of this post. I've been laid low for nearly a fortnight with the cold from you-know-where. The darn thing shows no sign of abating (note to self - buy shares in Kleenex, cough medicine and decongestants!) and has seriously fuzzed my brain.

I know a number of you are suffering from seasonal allergies, so I'm sure you'll understand!

Thus, in lieu of a witty, imaginative and beatifully crafted post (hey, we all love a bit of romantic fiction!) I've had to resort to simple, short and sweet ... okay, so I'm making you all do the work *g*.

Your dilemma is this:

You've been stranded on a desert island.

In the morning tides, a bag washes up on the shore.

Inside is an iPod loaded with one book, one movie, one album, one TV series and one application (and, of course, there is a solar charger *g*). There is also one other item in the bag.

Which book, movie, album, TV series and application do you hope are on the iPod? What is the item in the bag?

[Note from Anna: This blog has been liberally sprayed with Lysol to protect readers from my nasty germs!]

Oh noooo poor Anna- I hope you feel better ASAP!
Hmmm I think this post could be very fun :D What books? Gah. I'll leave that for later. Movie... Gone with the Wind. :P Because it takes a long time to watch all the way through and I love it. TV Series - bones. Album? Er, I listen to songs not albums... The Original Cast Recording of... I'm trying to decide between Phantom of the Opera, and Wicked. I'll go with the former - haven't heard it longer.
Item in the bag? Is a satellite phone that's charged too much of a cheat? Food and water? How about a blanket then? Yes I am incredibly boring.
For the app - honestly I'd say the kindle app, with books already on/in it. Because... it is an app!
As for which book I'd bring then... you know, I'll go with one I wouldn't normally choose. Emily Climbs, by LM Montgomery.

Poor, poor Anna! Sometimes colds are just horrible, aren't they? And the worst part is people are inclined to say "it's just a cold" when you feel like death warmed up! Sending huge sympathy from Oz!

Oh, man, these questions are tough! OK, book - War and Peace. Actually no, that's a bit heavy. What about Jane Eyre? No, no sex! Oy! Too hard! Movie - How to Steal a Million with Audrey Hepburn and Peter O'Toole. I'll need something light if I end up taking War and Peace with me. TV series? Civilization by Kenneth Clark. Clearly I'm going to leave this island very cultured! Album - Glenn Gould's performance of the Goldberg Variations. Or maybe greatest hits of the 80s! Snort! Depends if I want to dance or meditate on the meaning of life, doesn't it? Actually I think I want a really BIG block of perfumed soap as my extra item. If I'm stuck on the island for long, I might appreciate the ability to have a good wash! Or perhaps I want a big bottle of something alcoholic - all that meditation might drive me to drink!

Hugs Anna - Recovery is possible - I'm feeling fine.
Let's see - I think I'd choose a book I haven't read yet. Everyone is telling me that The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is a must read - so I'll take that. Movie? I have a lot of faves, but Kate & Leopold has been on the TV lately and I do love Hugh Jackman in his dukely attire so I'll share the sand with Hugh. An album...I'm going with Mamma Mia as it seems perfect for a desert island (though Wicked was a close second). I suppose the cellphone works and I can call for help when the bon-bons run out, so my application will be Suduku. Nothing like some logic puzzles to help keep sane. The last item in the bag...Diet Dr. Pepper (grin) and sunblock. Okay, technically that's two items but as neither takes a lot of space, let's just say they came bundled. Feel better bandita!

Book - Wicca: A Year and A Day

Movie - Under the Tuscan Sun

Album - Phantom of the Opera

TV Series - Masterpiece Theatre

Application - Kindle

Item - solar powered laptop ;)

Anna, hope you feel better soon!

Jane said...

Feel better soon, Anna. My book choice would be something from Agatha Christie(I can't choose.) The album would be The Verve's "Urban Hymns." "Life" with Damien Lewis is the TV choice and "The Hangover" is my movie pick. I'll just stick with the GPS app. My other item is a fresh pair of underwear.

Christine Wells said...

Hugs on the illness, VA! You poor sausage, you should have asked one of us to take on your blog today.

Oh, boy. My brain is fried from all the hours I've spent writing today--and there's still tonight to go! Besides, I'm a Libran and cannot ever choose just one of anything. I'm no good at this game at all. HELP!

hrdwrkdmom aka Dianna said...

Oh no, feel better Anna, colds are such a drag!

Hard questions for me, I may not be a Libran but I hate decisions..LOL

Movie would be LOTR Trilogy, (I'll just have my own fantasy island)

Book would be Pride and Predjudice

Music would be greatest hits of the 50's

TV series would be Charmed

App would be GPS so someone could find me eventually.

Item would be chocolate

Laure said...

Feel better soon, Anna!

Book: Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. Long and complex enough for multiple reads

Movie: something Disney that always makes me happy, "Lady & the Tramp" maybe, or "Robin Hood."

TV series: BBC's Robin Hood, of course

App: is there a word processor app? Gotta be able to write somehow.

Music: hard choice. George Strait's boxed set, probably

Item: would a certain handsome brit fit in our magical bag? Maybe with some insect repellent?

Caren Crane said...

Lime, glad you chose the Lysol! *g*

Anna, I hope you feel better SOON. It has been a horrible year for allergies here, too!

My desert island bag:

Book: "The World According To Garp" by John Irving. A book that is new every time I read it!

Album: "The Crane Wife" by the Decemberists. A story in an album - great music, smart lyrics and lots of fantasy.

Series: The Office. I need my humor and I like it awkward and real!

App: I'm tempted by Bejeweled - horribly addictive - but I think the similarly addictive Chuzzles might win that one!

Other item: A mirror. Yes, even alone on a desert island, I want a mirror. Horribly vain, yes, but it's also good for signaling ships, starting fires and lots of other MacGyverish things. *g*

Caren Crane said...

Hey, I forgot a movie. Of course it is MOONSTRUCK! Again with the witty dialogue, crazy family and HUMOR! Plus, it's a cheat to get some bits of opera in there. *g*

OK, my picks:
Book: Elizabeth Peters-Crocodile on the Sandbar
Movie: The Mummy with Brendan Frasier
Album: No idea. Something by Sting, maybe?
TV series: Royal Pains. No, Big Bang Theory.
Application: No clue. I don't have an Ipod.

Anna, you poor thing. Spring colds are miserable. I sweated mine out with my daughter's version of Thai chicken soup (my cold really settled in my sinuses), so try this:

4 cups chicken broth
2 scallions, chopped
1 small chicken breast, finely chopped
1 cup cooked white rice (you can throw instant rice in and cook it in the broth)
a dash of soy sauce
a liberal sprinkle of red pepper flakes

Heat and eat. Hope you feel better soon.

Gillian Layne said...

Christine, I just read your comment about Libras and laughed. So true! I changed my answers about six times. Actually, my decision making is a bit better, as the older I get the more irritated I get with myself, but it's still painful. When my husband takes decisions out of my hands concerning computers, appliances, etc., I'm relieved. :)

Suzanne Ferrell said...

Poor Anna! Lots of oranges, babe! Lots of fluids! and if you aren't better in a week, get antibiotics...seriously.

Book: Is there a question with me? Julie Garwood's Saving Grace.

Movie: Hmmmm...Tombstone. Sigh, lots of sexy men in that one!

TV series: NCIS...same a above!

Album: I'm torn on this one. Tapestry by Carole King OR ZZTop's greatest hits OR Allison Krause and Union Station's New Favorite. (yeah, I'm a little ecclectic)

App? yep, I'd go for the Kindle with preloaded books

Extra item: Endless supply of Diet Coke!

Nancy said...

Anna, what a cute post despite your cold! I hope you feel better.

The book: To Kill A Mockingbird. It's my alltime ever favorite and reminds me of the best in human nature, which I would hope to experience again someday if I didn't starve to death or go nuts talking to a volleyball.

The TV show: Probably MASH. I'd be in need of a laugh, though the show is short on stuff blowing up. OTOH, maybe MacGuyver would help me get off the island. Hmm.

The album: Wagner's Greatest Hits. I would say Handel's Water Music, which I loved in high school orchestra and which was the recessional for our wedding, but I don't think water music would set the right tone. I'd want something with grandeur, I think.

The movie: Star Wars. Or maybe LOTR. Or possibly The Peacemaker (Nicole Kidman, George Clooney), which might make me glad to be away from people. I would pick To Kill A Mockingbird, but I already have the book.

The app: Does email count? Do I have satellite uplink? Do I have iTunes to get other TV shows?

The other thing: A satellite phone. *g*

Fun post! Now I'm off to tortu--uh, teach for the day. Back later.

Limecello, congrats on the rooster!

Anna Sugden said...

*sniff, sniff, cough, cough*

Sssssssst (sound of Lysol!)

Thanks, Lime - I can't wait to be rid of this cold!

Good choices. LOL on the kindle app - nice way to get around the one book dilemma! I think the satellite phone may be a bit of a cheat *g*.

I don't know Emily Climbs - but love LM Montgomery so shall check it out!

Anna Sugden said...

Looks like you got that pesky rooster on the island with you, Lime. After his training with P226, I hope he's good at necessary survival stuff.

KJ Howe said...

Anna, feel better soon!!! If I were on that island, I would be so happy I wouldn't need the ipod. LOL However, I sure wouldn't mind some kind of writing app so I could pen stories of sun and fun. Great creative post.

Anna Sugden said...

Aww thanks, Helen. I'd like one night where I don't have to sleep propped up to stop the coughing!

I knew your album would be Rod Stewart! *g*.

I wondered how many people would choose Shanna - I've never read KW myself, but she seems to be everyone's favourite read and reread.

ROFL about the cabana boy with sunscreen!!

Anna Sugden said...

Oh yes, Anna - I'm not one of those who calls a bad cold 'flu', so the level of sympathy you get is close to nil!

I wondered if you'd choose How to Steal a Million as your film *g* - one of the newest additions to my autograph collection is a signed still from that movie!

You are going to be very cultured! On he other hand ... a big bottle and Hits of the 80's and you'll be bopping away merrily until rescue comes.

Anna Sugden said...

I'm glad you're better, Donna. I keep hoping that recovery is in sight, but I don't seem to be getting any better. A family friend kindly infomred me that he'd had his cold for 6 weeks! *thunk*

I could share the sand with Hugh, but I'd go for Van Helsing - he's gorgeous in that!

LOL on the Mama Mia - not a surprise from the woman with Dancing Queen as her ringtone!

LOL too on the Dr Pepper - what, no Jack?!

You and Helen both had the same idea as me - a puzzle app would be useful.

Anna Sugden said...

Which Masterpiece Theatre series, Laurie? So many wonderful programs to choose from!

Another vote for Phantom (another one I haven't seen ... well, I saw the original B&W film *g*)

A solar powered laptop - aren't you good ... or do you have something sneaky loaded on there?

Christie Kelley said...

What a fun post, Anna. I hope you feel better. I had the sneaky cold from you know where two weeks ago. No early symptoms like a sore throat, nope right to the nasty cough. I'm still fighting some of the cough.

Book: That is a hard one! I may have to pass on that one.

Movie: Pride and Prejudice

Album: Hotel California by the Eagles

TV series: Supernatural

App: Suduku to keep my brain occupied

Other item: A nice bottle of Riesling to go with all the fish I'm catching.

Anna Sugden said...

Thanks, Jane - the lousy hockey performance by my boys isn't making me feel any better!

Loved the clean underwear as your extra item!

What cool choices - very eclectic! I hadn't heard of Life and looked it up - sounds fascinating. The Hangover is your light relief?!

Anna Sugden said...

Thanks, Christine. I know all of my fabulous Bandita sisters would have stepped up to the plate for me ... but then I wouldn't have been able to come on here and get some synpathy! It's been sadly lacking at home from lovely hubby since he got my cold *g*.

Just choosing one is sooo hard for me too!

Anna Sugden said...

Thanks, Dianna - this cold certainly is a major drag. That cats are so used to me sneezing that they don't jump any more!

Nice way to get around the one movie rule with a trilogy! Boxed set?!

Ah Pride & Prejudice - that was one of my choices for TV series. The Colin Firth version - yum.

I wondered who'd bring up chocolate *g*.

Anna Sugden said...

Thanks, Laure!

Outlander is another one I haven't read - maybe I shoudl just take my TBR mountain to a desert island LOL.

Oh, I love Lady & the Tramp. That and The Aristocats are two of my all-time favourites.

I'm all for having a handsme Brit as the extra item! Which particular one are you thinking of?

Anna Sugden said...

My dread, Caren, is that my allergies will start up once I get rid of the cold! LOL

I've never read or seen Garp - adding it to the list.

I can see you wanting humour on the island - The Office would be good entertainment!

Interesting choice of a mirror. With all your brownies and guides knowledge, you probably are goos at Macguyverish stff.

Anna Sugden said...

Ah yes, I knew you'd pick Moonstruck! Love it!

Yay - another puzzle game person!

Anna Sugden said...

Oooh love your pic, Gillian - looking forward to seeing it up on the big screen in Nashville!

Thanks for the recipe - I've been dosing up on chicken soup and OJ (and strong meds *g*).

What fun choices. I had to laugh at choosing The Mummy when you're on a desert island - lots of heat and sand!

Anna Sugden said...

Thanks, Suz - they won't give antibiotics for a cold over here. *sigh* *sniff* *cough*

Of course, your book had to be Saving Grace.

Tombstone would be one of my movie choices - I can't decide between that and Charade with Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant or Desk Set with Katherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy. Or something fun like one of the Ocean's films.

Good music choices - eclectic is good!

LOL on the Diet Coke!

Anna Sugden said...

Thanks, Nancy - I hope to be better by the time you visit LOL.

I remember the movie of To Kill a Mockingbird - never got around to reading the book. Must put that right.

Oh yes - MASH would keep you in good spirits while you waitd for a rescue.

I Love Star Wars - the one and only original. Could go for the first three - never got round to seeing the rest.

Wagner would certainly have grandeur!

Trish Milburn said...

Sorry you're feeling so icky, Anna. I think it's so wrong to have to feel bad in the spring.

Book: Right now, I'd say The Dead and Gone by Susan Beth Pfeffer because it's the next book on my to-be-read list. I'm reading the first in this series right now and it's great. Otherwise, I'd probably say Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins, which comes out in August. It's the last in the Hunger Games trilogy, and I want to know what happens!

Movie: Avatar

Album: Avatar soundtrack (Can you tell it's release day for the Avatar DVD?)

TV series: Supernatural

Application: Hmm, is there one called Desert Island Survival Tips? :) Otherwise, the ability to download more books. :)

Item: satellite phone

Anna Sugden said...

You spend half your life on gorgeous beaches in tropical climes, KJ! And the other half in hockey central *g*. I could be happy with that.

Definitely would give you a writing app - so we can have more of your fab stories!

Anna Sugden said...

Hope you're better soon too, Christie.

Ah a woman after my own heart - a nice bottle of wine makes everything else worhtwhile! (except a cold!)

Which version of P&P? I'm probably the odd one out in that I didn't like the Keira Knightly one ... but I did like the Olivier and Greer Grason version.

Great album choice.

Anna Sugden said...

Hey Trish - hope you've got your allergies under control. I'm with you, a beautiful sunny day is not when you should have a cold!

So, you reckon Avatar is okay? It must be if it's knocked Pirates off your movie and album list!

Donna MacMeans said...

Oop forgot the TV series -

I choose Firefly. It's no longer on the air so watching it again would be fresh. It was fun with great dialogue and characters and - Nathan Fillian. 'nuff said.

Trish Milburn said...

Anna, Pirates would be a close second. And I agree with Donna, Firefly would be awesome to watch over and over.

Hellie Sinclair said...

Which book, movie, album, TV series and application do you hope are on the iPod? What is the item in the bag?

The Harry Potter SERIES (though if you insist on limiting me to one, book 7); Gary Allan’s Greatest Hits; The 70s Show TV series; and an application for SURVIVAL GUIDE TO LIVING IN THE WILD. The item in the bag would be a GPS tracking device that would show people how to find me. And of course, because I never leave home without it: my knife would be strapped to my thigh.

Hellie Sinclair said...

I can't believe I forgot a movie. I don't know. That's even harder to pick than the book.

Maybe the first Pirates of the Caribbean.

Gillian Layne said...

Good grief, Anna, that is funny. And Peter's book takes place in Egypt. And my favorite Sting song is Desert Rose. So obviously I'm not going to have to much of a problem on the island.

If these can be a string of islands we're all stranded on, I want to visit Suzanne to watch her NCIS and drink her diet Coke, and I want to borrow Hellion's Harry Potter series. Besides, she's packing a knife. The woman is thinking survival. When I'm starving to death by the second day, she'll be cooking up island lizards or something yummy like that. :)

I have a whole half day to myself. It's freaking me out. I need to go buy Avatar. (For anyone who lives in the midwest, Hasting's price is way better than Blockbuster or Wal-Mart.)

Louisa Cornell said...

Lime has the ultimate survival weapon! The GR !!

Oh Anna, I feel your pain. I HATE those long lingering colds. What a pain. Feel better soon!

This is TOUGH !!

Book - I'm torn between Flowers from the Storm, The Mysterious Miss M, Claiming the Courtesan and Jane Eyre

Movie - Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil

Album - Torn between Highlights from Mozart's operas and Ralph Vaughn Williams Classics

TV Series - Keeping Up Appearances ( I will need a good laugh!)

Application - Word processor definitely. I have to write!

Extra item - My chihuahua Frodo! He's good company, a great alarm system, foot warmer and he loves to hunt!

Anna Sugden said...

So many people have raved about Firefly, Donna - I'll have to check it out sometime.

Anna Sugden said...

I didn't know you were a knife strapped to the thigh kind of gal, Ms Hellion ... on second thoughts, yes I did *g*

I thought about the 7th Harry Potter too - though I'd probably have the audio book with Stephen Fry reading it. All that time on a desert island to analyse it would be good too.

Anna Sugden said...

Good thinking, Gillian, about those connecting islands - then we can share Helen's cabana boy too and I'll let my hockey hunk, Zach, give massages to you all to ease away the stress of the ordeal.

Enjoy Avatar!

jo robertson said...

Poor baby! Hope you conquer this urgy lurgy soon, Anna!

Hmmm, a tough choice. Only one, VA??!!

I think I'd have to choose a humorous TV series, a sitcom I wouldn't mind watching over and over. Probably SEINFELD because it's a classic and defined a whole new generation of comedy shows. And it's still hilarious after all these years. I'd want the entire series, however!

Anna Sugden said...

Thanks, Louisa - my furry nurses have been doing good duty keeping my company and providing medicinal cuddles.

LOL at Keeping up Appearances - that would definitely keep your spirits up!

Cool on the Vaughan Williams. I rarely hear him mentioned and I did a project on him for Musical Appreciation when I was at school. I even wrote to his wife and got a lovely letter back.

Anna Sugden said...

Forgot to say - won't the other furry babies be jealous of Frodo?

Anna Sugden said...

I tell you, Jo - if one got washboard abs from coughing and sneezing, I'd be well trim and fit by now!

I've only ever seen one part of one Seinfeld episode, and that's the one they show at hockey games because someone is a Devils fan and is wearing a Devils jersey on the show.

I was thinking of choosing The West Wing for my TV series because it's got such great writing and is a good mix of humour and emotion and tension.

Loucinda McGary aka Aunty Cindy said...

GET WELL SOON, VA!
We can't have this lingering lurgy in the Lair! (sorry, couldn't resist)

Book: I'd pick Diana Gabaldon's whole series, but if only one then the first -- Outlander.

Movie: LOTR trilogy, but again if only one The Two Towers. Dunno why but the middle one was my fave.

Music: My box set of Beethoven's 9 symphonies

TV show: The Tudors (because I haven't seen season 3 yet), otherwise Rome.

App: e-mail, definitely can't survive without my email!

Extra item: LOTS OF CASHOLA! Why? Because you never said this island was deserted, just that it was desert, so I'm picturing that I'm on Curacao and I'll need plenty of money for the hotel, spa, restaurants, etc! ;-)

AC

Gannon Carr said...

Oh, Anna, I hope you feel better soon! I hate spring colds. Ugh!

Must I limit my choices to just one?? I'll do my best.

Book: Diana Gabaldon's OUTLANDER series, but if it must be one book, I'll take VOYAGER (book 3)

Movie: The Princess Bride

Album: Les Miserables soundtrack

TV series: Toss up between Castle and Lost--maybe I should go with Lost, since I'm stranded on an island like they are. LOL

Application: Kindle-- ha ha, now I can read many books! *g*

Other item: Toothbrush/toothpaste--can't imagine not having it! Ewwww.

Congrats on the GR, lime!

Janga said...

I hope you feel better soon, Anna, but your blog needs no apologies. Reading everyone's answers is great fun.

Book: The Bible (I'd have history, poetry, love stories, etc. all in one book.)

Movie: Pride and Prejudice (the Colin Firth version)

Album: Forrest Gump soundtrack (It has music from all the stages of my life. Like Suzanne, I did consider Carole King's Tapestry.)

TV series: As Time Goes By (I'd need lots of lol moments.)

Application: Facebook (so I could keep up on news from family and friends and send for help when I was ready to leave the island)

Item: a huge bottle of sunscreen with SPF 50.

Anna Sugden said...

Thanks AC - you know how awful this lingering lurgy has been!

I wonder if Diana Gabaldon realises how many people would take her book to a desert island! Guess I should make time to read it, huh?!

I only caught a few of the Tudors, but it looked excellent. I also love anything by Simon Schama - perhaps I shoudl take that with me ... or I could take his series on audio book *g*.

Only you could come up with a desert island with a sa on it. I'm going for Gillian's interconnection and paying a visit!

Anna Sugden said...

Aren't spring colds the worst, Gannon? Actually, maybe summer colds are worse! Hopefully I won't have one of the latter ... unless this one lasts through to the summer!

I'm surprised more people didn't mention The princess Bride - it's normally a big favourite. Kind of like Shanna being a favourite book.

Castle would be a good series to take - a little bit of everything.

Good point about the toothbrush and toothpaste!

Anna Sugden said...

Thanks Janga - and I'm glad you're enjoying the blog today.

You know, on the program Desert Island Discs - the BBC radio program that was the inspiration for this post - they already have a copy of the Bible (or other religious text)on the island. I always assumed that it was one put there by the Gideons - because you can't go too many places where they haven't got there first!

The other thing on the program's island is The Complete Works of Shakespeare.

Oh, I love As Time Goes By - Judi Dench is one of my favourite actresses.

Anna Campbell said...

Anna, a signed still from HTSAM???!!!! I've just booked my flight and no volcano will keep me away! I have such a crush on Peter O'Toole in that movie. He's so incredibly charming! Whenever my rakes go into charming articulate mode with my heroines, I think of them as doing a POT from HTSAM!

Laughed at all my culture being washed away in an alcoholic haze while I bop to the hits of the 80s. Hmm, reminds me of my 20s!

Hope you're feeling better this morning!

Anna Campbell said...

Gillian, I love the idea of this being a string of islands. Then we can do a big swap every so often! Clever!

Anna Campbell said...

Hey, Louisa, aren't you a honey, including CTC in your list? Mind you, if I was on the island next door, I could be sort of like a portable audiobook so you could take one of your other choices.

Gannon, I LOVE the Les Mis soundtrack. I think that would be one of my contenders. Yellow, the color of this sand, blue the color of the sea!

Anna Campbell said...

Janga, I did consider the Bible. But I think all that begatting would make me feel lonely ;-)

Anna Campbell said...

Ooh, Anna, LURVE Simon Schama. We just had his art series on here and I was glued to the TV every Sunday night. He's an example of a not particularly good-looking man who somehow still manages to be incredibly attractive. Or am I alone in fancying the delectable Mr. S?

Just popping in to say I hope you feel better soon, Anna! I'll try to get back later to answer your questions. :)

Anna, I hope you feel better soon!

This is a tough post for me to answer and I'm NOT a Libra! But I have a heck of a time choosing just one thing (or, in the case of ice cream, one flavor *g*) So I'll just go with recent faves:

Book - Catch Of The Day

Movie - Sweet Home Alabama

Album - Lez Zeppelin, Box set 1

TV show - something funny that ran a long time so I won't get bored...maybe Friends or Seinfeld or Mash *g*

Sadly, I am so gadget challenged I'm not sure exactly what aps do but if there's one that will let me get emails from Tawny that'd be awesome. Then I could have conversation AND still read her stories :-)

Other item - moisturizer *g*

Hope you will be feeling better

Book: The Harry Potter books
Movie: Princess Bride
Album: Compilation album Greatest Hits of the 1980s

(Of course, these are my choices
of this moment. I will have made
complete changes in the next five
minutes!!!)

Anna (sniff, sniffle....achoo!)

I know how you feel! Hope you get better soon!

Real quick:

Book: I'm cheating the Bible for inspiration then Nora's first Irish Trilogy (Tears of Moon etc.)

Movie: Steel Magnolias

CD: Celtic/Irish Trad

TV Series...Andy Griffith

Item: A Life boat :-)

Becke Davis said...

Anna - I hope you feel better soon!

I'd be at a loss, since I'm a Luddite when it comes to this sort of thing. I'd be a basket case!

Feeling marginally better this morning, but it could be the drugs!

Anna Sugden said...

Thanks, PJ! Good to see you!

Anna Sugden said...

YOu mean you're only supposed to choose one flavour of ice-cream, Beth?! Oops! LOL

Is that Led Zep showing a bit of your son's influence?

I love Sweet Home, Alabama - such fun!

Aww - we'd make sure Tawny was on the next island!

Anna Sugden said...

Thanks, Pat - so do I (as you can probably tell *g*).

Being marooned with Mark Harmon would be good - even if only on your iPod!

Which Harry Potter would you pick? Can you imagine one volume with all 7 books?! That woudl be an island in itself!

Anna Sugden said...

Hope you feel better too, Joanie!

I'm glad you chose Nora - her three sisters trilogy or a compilation of her JD Robbs would be high on my list of books to take. I could even take the computer game of her wedding series book as my app!

Anna Sugden said...

Thanks, Becke - guess the best way to learn would be to strand you on a desert island, huh?!
