Question of the day

While we're awaiting a much-anticipated post by one of the Banditas, here's the first of what we plan to be a periodic Question of the Day:

If you could be an extra for a day on any current television program, what would it be and why?

No fair, Trish. You didn't post which one you would be on!

But I'll play. Confession: I don't watch TV. I really don't. Most everything I know is from reading Entertainment Weekly. However, I have watched some seasons of shows on DVD on the recommendation of friends.

Without a doubt, my current favorite is "Dead Like Me". I would love to be one of the many accident-fated souls George and company have to collect. Or maybe one of the schlubs George works with at the temp agency. That show is so hilarious!

I don't really watch new tv. I really only watch reruns. I love "Will & Grace," "Buffy," and "Angel." I think being on the set of "Will & Grace" would have been hilarious.

Food Network.

Specifically, Alton Brown's Good Eats or something with Paula Deen.

I know how to "smoosch" things. :-)

I would love to be an extra on my favorite show Lost. Filmed in Hawaii and lots of good looking guys what more could you want.

I don't watch a lot of TV (always reading) probably be House love Hugh Laurie and the way he solves things although it can be frustrating at times.

I'd like to be an extra on CSI. Dead body, anyone? Heehee. Or a scientist extra, purposfully striding down the hall in my lab coat, glacing at Gil Grissom or Nick Stokes. Nick, for sure. Call me big guy... Ha!

I'm with tetewa -- "LOST" baby! I'm SURE I'd fit right in as one of "the Others" torturing Sawyer! heh! heh!

Last time I was in Hawaii, I did see the GORGEOUS green valley with the steep crater sides where they often film shots. They take horseback riding tours through there. I did NOT see the beach location, however, my friend and honorary Bandita Tina Ferraro DID! She SAYS there was no sign of Josh Holloway/Sawyer. She better NOT be lying to Aunty...

"Lost" is really the only show I watch with any regularity, but Jo loaned me the DVD of "Rome" and I'd LOVE to be on that set (can't believe Joan didn't mention it)! Even more (though I've never seen the series) I'd like to hang around the set of "The Tudors" with Johnny Rhys Meyers as Henry VIII. YUM!!!!

Okay, must stop now...

I'd have to say Supernatural or Bones. They are my two favorite shows. Great dialogue, wonderful interplay between the main characters, interesting stories. Not to mention good-looking leading men. :)

I don't get to watch as much TV as I'd like (yes, I admit it, I like TV *g*) but I guess I'd pick The Office. That show cracks me up :-)

Other than that, I'd be with Joan on Food Network but not with Alton. Although I do think Paula Deen's sons are adorable ;-)

I see I've already been "outed" here, Aunty Cindy, but yes, it would be LOST, all the way!

Hmmm....LOST with Sawyer.....

Ok!

Kate is not good enough for him! He needs ME!

And AC, I guess I didn't mention ROME since...don't think me strange...I kind of feel at home there already (or maybe in another lifetime :-)

Though I am contemplating asking Santa for Season 1 or 2.

Top Chef...for sure. Believe me when I say I could hold my own for at least one Elimination challenge!

Since I'm a confessed soap addict, I'd pick being a nurse on General Hospital. And if I were lucky, I'd get to bandage one of HOT HOT HOT Steve Burton's wounds.

It's not such a far choice, since I used to be a nurse in my previous real life.

Suz, I didn't know you were a "Top Chef" fan. I love it. I would be an extra there any time, though only as a foodie/taster.

The other extra spot would be in the audience of "Dancing with the Stars."
