Wow, it's hard to believe we're already moving into October. We have a wonderful month coming up in the Lair! In addition to our usual bandita blogs, we have fabulous guests coming.
We kick off with a bang and a squee! as our very own Aunty Cindy, known to the reading public as Loucinda McGary, launches her debut romantic suspense novel, The Wild Sight, which earned a starred review in Publishers Weekly. We hope you'll all join the party on October 1.
Kensington author Delilah Marvelle, whose debut novel, Mistress of Pleasure, was just released, joins Kirsten Scott on October 2.
Dorchester author Gerri Russell guests with Nancy on October 6. Gerri will discuss her recent trip to Scotland and celebrate the release of her third Scottish historical romance, Warrior's Lady.
Sourcebooks Casablanca publicist Danielle Jackson guests with Aunty Cindy on October 7. She'll be glad to answer questions from commenters about promotion and pubicity.
Denise Rosetti, who writes hot romances for Berkley, Avon, and Ellora's Cave, chats with Christine Wells about one of our favorite subjects, heroes, on October 16.
Medical romance author Fiona Lowe joins Anna Campbell on October 19 to discuss her latest release, The Playboy Doctor's Marriage Proposal.
Western historical author Tracy Garrett chats about her latest release, Touched by Love, with Suzanne Welsh on October 27.
We may have one or two other guests. Stay tuned for further developments!

What a fabulous line-up!! Wowowoweee! Thank you, Banditas. You sure do spoil us muchly.
Foanna, I'm putting my scented lavendar chit in the hat with my name on it. Puhhhhhlllllllleeeeeeeezzzzzz.
Nancy, I have a tub of Nutella and the entire season three of BBC's MI-5/Spooks TV-series. It's going to be a marvy night. Cuddle up to me.
Hey, Keira, all that sweet talkin' to the feathery one seems to have paid off! Congratulations!!!! Hey, maybe you should try a coochee coochee coo on me for that ARC ;-) Although I'm not sure if it's QUITE as exciting as a rooster...
Nancy, haven't we got a great month coming up? I'm really looking forward to meeting all the guests! And all the usual Bandita fun, of course!
Yahooooooo, Nancy, sounds like another awesome month in the Lair. I can't wait to hear from our guests as well as our regular Banditas.
LOL, Keira, glad you wrestled the chook away from Helen. She was getting WAY too friendly with him.
Woohoo! Sounds like so much great stuff. And congratulations, Keira - good for you :D
ROFL Keira! Nutella and Spooks - are you sure you want the chook there too?!
Another fab month in the Lair - so excited!

Congrats, Keira!!!! Boy, you're so excited, I think that GR is going to get an even bigger head that he has already:)
Thanks for that round up, Nancy! Another stellar month ahead.
Keira! Congrats on the chook and it's great to have you home in the Lair!
October sounds like another killer month with the Banditas. I can add that on Oct 12th I'll be hosting debut author Sheryl Brennan who'll talk to us about her first title "Celtic Sacrifice".
Congrats Keira! Persistence pays off! :)
Wow, what a fantastic October lineup! Great authors, great books, great guests, awesome prizes! Who could ask for more?
OFF-TOPIC: Nancy, are you going to make it to Atlanta this weekend? I filled the gas tank on the way home from Charleston Sunday and still have a little over 3/4 of a tank left so I'm good to go. Most of the stations in town are out of gas (I'm thinking it was the 50,000 or so football fans from out of town last weekend that cleaned us out) but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that new shipments will arrive soon. This is freakin' crazy!
FYI: The Race-Trac station at Exit 75 on I-85 (in SC) usually has gas and often has the lowest price between Charlotte and Greenville. Prices tend to go up in Greenville but go down again at the Clemson-Anderson exit (19B). Hope to see you in Atlanta!
Go Keira!! You rock! :-)
What a month -- I can't wait to bring on Delilah. She is such a sweetheart, and if you hadn't read her book yet...wow...hot stuff!! :-)
ROFLMAO!! YAY KEIRA!! You plotted, you planned, you stayed awake all night and now HE IS YOURS!!!
Hey, Nutella and Spooks with Matthew Mac! I'll be right over!
Nancy, this looks like another stellar month in the Lair. A mini party every day indeed!
Aunty Cindy, I am SO excited about your release!! Can't wait! AND, I'm off work tomorrow! Party in the house!!
La Campbell, inquiring minds want to know - DID YOU MAKE YOUR DEADLINE???
Sounds like a wonderful lineup!!! Thanks for making October another fun month!
PJ, Nancy, and anyone else coming to Atlanta this weekend for the M&M Conference -- BE SURE TO GAS UP BEFORE YOU GET HERE. Gas is getting pretty scare around Atlanta. It's on the local news everynight. And it seems the north side of Atlanta has been hit harder.
Congrats on the feathered one, Keira! Good to see diligence pays off. LOL!
Great line up as always. The Lair is the place to be on the net. So excited about AC's release (heading to B&N tonight hoping to find it early) and all the contests sound great. Off to check out Anna's and to think up fun places to take pictures of Trish's book. LOL!
Congrats, Keira! Way to start the month off right!
And thanks, Nancy for that excellent preview of another excellent month in the lair! I'll be looking forward!
Hi - I've wandered my way over here via Christine Wells just in time for an awesome month. Can't wait!
Morning Everybody!
WTG, Keira! Proof that once again, persistence pays off! In publishing AND Chook catching. :-)
Thanx for a great review Nancy. October in the Lair is gonna be THE BEST!!!
And HUGE THANX EVERYONE for anxiously awaiting the first appearance of The Wild Sight. I didn't say this here, but over on my Aunty Cindy Explains It All blog, I promised chocolate to the first person who sends me a piccie of a Wild Sight sighting.
We are partying today over on the Casa Authors blog and I'm going to continue NON STOP here in the Lair tomorrow.
Can't WAIT!!!!!
AC
Keira, I haven't had luck finding that series on DVD yet. I'm hoping for luck next week, if the gas shortage in NC eases up enough for me to go look.
I'm glad everybody's looking forward to the month. I certainly am! I think we have a great lineup, and Joan has Sheryl Brennan on Oct. 12 in addition to the guests listed in the post.
PJ and Buffie, thanks for the gas tips! I'm currently at 3/4 of a tank, so I should be able to make it well into SC, where the problems aren't so severe. I plan to fill up on the way down and top off the tank as I come back. The dh drove 25 miles for gas on Sunday in his car, bought the allotment and put a gallon in the lawn mower can for my car, then came home and put that gas in my tank and drove back 25 miles for gas. Since my car was on the red "reserve" light, it wasn't getting there otherwise. I had it parked for five days because I couldn't find gas and didn't have enough to sit in a line.
Keira wrote, "Foanna, I'm putting my scented lavendar chit in the hat with my name on it. Puhhhhhlllllllleeeeeeeezzzzzz."
Fo wrote, "Hey, maybe you should try a coochee coochee coo on me for that ARC ;-)"
I'm trying to bridge the Pacific with my arms to hug you, Fo. Ah, there. Coo Coo Coochee Coo. A laugh. That delightful laughter. C'mon. You're smiling at least. Aha.
V.Anna and Foanna: The seventh season of BBC's Spooks/MI-5 has ...drum roll... Richard Hawtage hisself. I believe it's broadcasting in Ozlandia, too. I'll have to wait for the DVD release in May sob. So you two get to him all to yourselves for EIGHT bluidy months sob.
Chook, shoo. Away from the laptop. Do not, repeat, do not read Helen's note about Tim Tams. Didn't we have ourselves a rip-roaring time last night? That cognac helped, too, eh?
My delight knows no bounds. And thankee Banditas and Buddies for celebrating my victory.
A note on my unexplained absences: They are always only health-related.
Nancy, I found the first three seasons of MI-5 at our public library. I have Netflix, and they have the first five seasons, with the first two on Instant Play, free to Netflix members.
PJ, Nancy, and Buffie: I'm so sorry about the nuisance and headache caused by the gas shortage.
Whoo Hoo! Congrats, Keira! I've never been able to snag the GR. After I meet my deadline, that'll be my new goal *g*
October looks like another fantastic month in the lair! Looking forward to all our guests and celebrating AC's release :-)
Wtg, Keira.
Looks like another fun month at the Lair.
Congrats, AC. Looking forward to celebrating your release.
Wow, congrats, Keira!! How's the GR behaving today? ;)
Thanks for the thrilling October line-up, Banditas! Looking forward to much fun in the Lair!
Hi Miss Louisa! Still got till tonight so I'm doing final polishing but yeah, I'll make it!!!! Thanks for asking.
Miss Keira, I am indeed chortling. Which is different to chookling.
Keira!! Hope you and the GR have had yourselves a fine day!
Wow, what a fabulous line-up for October, starting with Aunty's Wild Sight/Wild Party!! Can't wait for the festivities to begin!!!
Chookling!!! Ha. Fo, you should write a Dr. Seuss-style book, b'cos he was all about being punny (not to be confused with puny).
Fedora, ah. I see some jealousy from that quarter. Chookie's getting a nookie playing hookie. *cough*
Beth, yes, assiduous use of the "refresh" button on your browser could be your goal for October.
Keira was definitely "ON" all day today!! Electric, my friend!
And I am excited to hear that you made your deadline, La Campbell! Anything that gets another Anna Campbell book on the shelves is something I am ALL FOR!!
