Time For A Top Ten List

by Beth

Tomorrow is Father's Day here in the States which, for some unknown reason, has me thinking about some of my all-time favorite Movie/TV Dads! (I know. It's scary how my brain works. Let's just go with it, shall we? *g*)

So here, in no particular order, are my Top Ten Favorite Movie or TV Dads:

1. Rick Castle (Nathan Fillion) of TV's Castle. So far I've only caught a few episodes of this show but the thing that struck me right from the beginning was Castle's relationship with his daughter Alexis. Alexis is actually more mature than her dad but their love for each other is clear *g*

2. Will Hayes (Ryan Reynolds) in Definitely, Maybe. I'm a huge Ryan Reynolds fan (and I can't wait to see him with Sandra Bullock in The Proposal!) and this movie about a single dad telling his daughter about his past was very sweet :-)

3. Jack (Michael Keaton) in Mr. Mom. Oh, how I love this movie! Jack loses his job and soon embraces his new role as a stay-at-home dad. Anyone else remember this scene where he's trying to get his son Kenny to give up his woobie (security blanket): "I understand that you little guys start out with your woobies and you think they're great... and they are, they are terrific. But pretty soon, a woobie isn't enough. You're out on the street trying to score an electric blanket, or maybe a quilt. And the next thing you know, you're strung out on bedspreads Ken. That's serious."

4. Sam Baldwin (Tom Hanks) in Sleepless in Seattle. As much as I love the romance in this film, I also love the bond between Sam and his young son Jonah.

5. Robert (Patrick Dempsey) in Enchanted. I can't get enough of this movie and Robert is such a cynical New Yorker but his love for his young daughter pushes him to bring fairy tale princess Gieselle home.

6. Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) in TV's Bones. Seeley is a tough FBI agent AND a caring father. And he's easy on the eyes, too ;-)

7. Eric Taylor (Kyle Chandler) in TV's Friday Night Lights (one of my fave shows!) Love how sexy Eric is with his wife and how wonderful he is with his daughters. Plus, as a football coach, he's a role model/father figure to many of the boys on his squad.

8. John Winchester (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) of TV's Supernatural. Before JDM was in Watcher's, he played Sam and Dean's father and I have to admit, I fell hard for this tough guy who would do anything to protect his sons.

9. Daniel (Liam Neeson) in Love Actually. The story line of Daniel and Sam is my favorite of this fabulous movie. Seeing their relationship grow after suffering a huge loss is so bittersweet.

10. (TIE) Richard White (James Marsden) and Clark Kent/Superman (Brandon Routh) in Superman Returns. Young Jason White couldn't ask for two better Dads!

Who are some of your favorite Movie/TV Dads? Which star would win your vote as sexiest dad? I know we have a few Hugh Jackman and Johnny Depp fans out there *g* Let's hear it!

Andy Taylor seemed like a cool dad. Opie was a lucky kid. I definitely think Hugh Jackman is one of the sexiest dads. Eric Bana and Brad Pitt are on the list, too.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan as John Winchester all teh way :D
I just love him, all rough, and can sure kick some demon butt

Congrats Jane

Beth
I too loved Michael Keaton in Mr Mom great relationship with the kids.
I haven't watched the other TV shows and movies that you have mentioned must get around to some of them.
Jane I always loved Andy Griffith as a father as well and what about Howard from Happy Days wasn't he a great father he always had the right answers for Richie and Joanie.

I have seen a lot of photos of Hugh Jackman with his family and I gotta say he is a wonderful Dad.

I hope all the Fathers have a great Fathers Day we celebrate Fathers Day in September here in Oz so I have a few months to work out what to get my Hubby.

Have Fun
Helen

You could argue against John Winchester being a good dad, but I won't. LOVE him. Absolutely on Rick Castle and Seeley Booth. Eric Taylor is a bit distant for my taste. I like his interactions with his players more than with his daughters.

Noah on Heroes is a dad who would do anything to protect his child. He's not always heroic himself, but he loves his daughter.

Hal from Malcolm in the Middle. Many times an idiot, but he had a bond with his boys.

Superman's dad on Smallville. Didn't hurt that he was played by John Schneider, but he was tough and fair.

You know, as much TV as I watch, not a lot have dads.

Enid Wilson said...

I love Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) in TV's Bones and his son Parker. It's difficult for some fathers to remain close to their children after divorce. And I think Booth did really well in the series.

Beth, I love Rick Castle, Seeley Booth and John Winchester. I want to see Definitely, Maybe because, like you, I really like Ryan Reynolds. BTW, have you seen the cover of the new Entertainment Weekly? Verra nice picture of Ryan on the cover.

One of my all-time favorite dads, who I incidentally blogged about at the Wet Noodle Posse blog the other day, is Keith Mars from Veronica Mars. He's a single dad, and his and Veronica's relationship is as much friendship as father/daughter. So fun to watch.

Sherrinda Ketchersid said...

Ooooh, I LOVE the new show Castle. The romantic tension on that show is Yummy! (and he really loves his daughter) And Ryan Reynolds in The Proposal is GREAT, btw!!!!

Joan said...

Morning everyone!

Hmmmm...TV Dads. YOu're right, MJ not a lot on the tube nowadays.

I liked Bill Cosby even if many of his approaches to children seemed "textbook perfect" at times. The humor made up for it.

And actually Martin on "Frazier"...total antithesis to his two high browed sons but the balance he offered was impressive.

And yeah, Andy. Good 'ole Andy. Actually, Opie often taught HIM the lessons better than he did Opie.

As to hunky Dads? I like Nathan a lot and while I never saw JDM on Supernatural....I could totally see him protecting and nurturing his young.

As to best Dad ever? Mine :-)

{looking up to heaven} Happy Father's Day Daddy!

hrdwrkdmom aka Dianna said...

I loved Mr. Mom! That is one of my favorite movies. I am not a big TV watcher so I don't know of any other "public" dads are.

Deb Marlowe said...

Hey Beth! A great topic for this weekend.

You will laugh, but one of my favorite TV dads is not fictional. Have you seen the reality show, Gene Simmons Family Jewels? This guys is so totally NOT what I expected--and he seems like an amazing dad--just completely in love with his kids and supportive in a funny, over the top way. It's such fun to watch!

Susan Sey said...

Good morning, Beth!

I haven't seen Mr. Mom in years, but I LOVED that electric blanket/quilt speech. "That's serious, Ken." Heh.

As for sexy dads, can I say my husband? I love how gentle & sweet he is with our girls. It's a remarkable turn on to see a big man competently diaper a small child. Or now that we're potty training, ask her, in all seriousness, whether she wants Hello Kitty or Elmo on her unders today. :-)

Louisa Cornell said...

Jane got the GR! I wonder if he's a DAD and has lots of little biddies running around out there. See if you can get him to confess to being a Biddie Daddy, Jane.

Love Andy Griffith, one of the great all time TV Dads!

And I really loved Michael Keaton in Mr. Mom. I think it was the first of his movies I saw and it was so funny and sweet and wild!

How about Steve Martin as George Banks in the two Father of the Bride movies? Two of my favorite movies of all time. I am partial to Dads who are crazy about their daughters as I was and will always be a Daddy's Girl.

I loved Mr. Bennett in the latest Pride and Prejudice movie too. He was one of those long-suffering husbands and dads you just love to watch.

Now when it comes to HOT dads you can't go wrong with Hugh Jackman and Johnny Depp!! They seem so genuine with their kids and THAT is VERY sexy!

And I'm with Joanie. The very best Dad ever was my Dad. Happy Father's Day Daddy. I miss you!

Caren Crane said...

Jane, you STILL have the chook? Is he tied to the bedpost and fed drugged corn or something? *g*

Beth, your entire list is chock full of hotties. Now, I've seen some real-life dads who were definite cuties (including my dh), but really, how many guys do see like those?!

Of course, my favorite TV dad ever was Rob Petrie, Dick Van Dyke on his self-named show. As a little girl, I thought he would be the BEST DAD EVER. I still think that, especially as mine turned out not to be so great at the fatherhood gig. Truth be told, I think Dick Van Dyke is a hottie, but probably few except our dear Susan Sey agree with me!

Caren Crane said...

Oh, Helen, how could I miss Andy Griffith? He was definitely a great dad to Opie. And just look how well Ron Howard turned out. *g*

Caren Crane said...

MJ, I adored 'Malcolm In the Middle', but it was Jane Kaczmarek as the mom who won my heart. I'll never forget her telling one of the boys to drink his milk and him telling her it had lumps. She said, "Then CHEW it!" I LOVE HER!

Caren Crane said...

Enid, in real life, I always am a big fan of dads who make extra effort after a divorce. An ex-co-worker of mine was briefly married to his son's mom, then she left him very shortly after delivery. Even when his son was an infant, he (the completely clueless young father) would get the baby and spend all the time he could with him. It makes me teary to think about it!

He NEVER got to live with his son as a full-time dad, but he went to extraordinary lengths to spend time with him and be a stable influence (the mom was kind of crazy). I knew him through the time this boy was in high school. It was amazing to me.

Caren Crane said...

Joanie, I have a real soft spot for Dr. Huxtable. *g* Though he sometimes had to be really hard, especially on Lisa and Theo, I loved The Cosby Show's take on life in a big family. Bill was a very pragmatic TV dad. Loved it!

Caren Crane said...

Sherrinda, I want to see 'The Proposal'. Of course, the critics panned it as "run of the mill romantic comedy". Um...I love romantic comedies AND their formulas!

Plus, Ryan Reynolds is on the cover of Entertainment Weekly this week and his abs are so severely cut they made me concerned. I want to call him and tell him to eat a carb or something. *g*

Caren Crane said...

Deb, why am I not surprised you have watched Gene Simmons' reality show?

And Louisa, I love Steve Martin as the dad in 'Parenthood', digging through the garbage looking for his son's retainer. That is an awesome movie and so spot on!

Sherrinda Ketchersid said...

Caren, yes, The Proposal was a true blue romantic comedy, but that is what I love. Sandra Bullock's character was different from her normal slapstick funny girl, but I loved it. Annnddd, I want to know how many hours in the gym it takes to look like her without her clothes on! Oh.My.Goodness....she has NO lumpiness anywhere!

Donna MacMeans said...

Sherrinda - You've already seen The Proposal? That's the next one of my list. We saw The Hangover last night (no dads in that one) and it was hilarious.

Beth - loved your list. Mr. Mom is the premier Dad movie because he didn't want the job/didn't know how to do it in the beginning, but learned. I'm trying to think of Dads on current TV shows beyond the ones Beth listed, and the only one I can think of is Two and a Half Men. Jon Cryer and Charlie Sheen obviously love the boy - even if one could take issue with their methods at times *g*.

Fun post for the weekend. Hope everyone has a great Father's Day (and first day of summer).

jo robertson said...

Congratulations, Jane! Yes, Andy Taylor was a great dad. His low-key parental comments and wry humor are classics!

Great topic, Beth. I always thought Jeffrey Dean Morgan was way too sexy to be dad to Sam and Dean because I can't stop thinking about him as dying Denny in Grey's Anatomy.

I'm dating myself and the TV series is way outmoded, but I always loved Father Knows Best (even if he didn't/doesn't LOL).

Joan said...

Or now that we're potty training, ask her, in all seriousness, whether she wants Hello Kitty or Elmo on her unders today. :-)...

Awwwww, that is SO sweet!!!

Yeah, I love watching guys with their babies...

Unknown said...

Oh you named some really good ones. I love Jeffrey Dean Morgan, he's so hot. I also loved Castle, and Mr. Mom! Oh and Bones, I can't wait for this show to start back up.

Tawny said...

OMGOMGOMG Rick Castle is soooo YUMMMY!!! I love him :-) Seriously adore that show. His relationship with his daughter-and with his mother, are two of the key reasons that show rocks, IMO.

Tawny said...

Jane, congrats on the rooster :-)

I do remember Andy Taylor, he was always so wise and funny as a dad. And I admit it, I melt when I see Hugh Jackman with his kids - Johnny Depp, too, although thats very VERY rare.

Tawny said...

MMMMm a rough and kick butt dad is hot, for sure, Blodeuedd. I haven't seen him (I'm woefully behind on dad watching, it seems). What show is he on?

Beth Andrews said...

Hi, All! Sorry I'm late to respond. We're having some thunderstorms and our power went out right after I turned on my pc this morning. But it's back now so I'll catch up momentarily :-)

Tawny said...

Helen I loooooved Mr. C

He was just as cool as the Fonz, but in a much chubbier, dad sort of way LOL

Tawny said...

MJ - Noah (aka Horned Rimmed Glasses) is a great example of the sacrifices dads make. His entire life- his entire career - revolve around protecting his daughter (who I could possibly argue should be a little less bratty and a little more appreciative LOL, but I won't)

Jeanne (AKA The Duchesse) said...

Hey Jane! Congrats on the Rooster nabing this early morning. :>

Of course it's afternoon now. Hahah!

Beth, what a great post. I too love all these great dad. I particularly love Seely Booth for all the reasons you stated and Liam Neeson in Love Actually as well.

Caren, I've been in love with Dick Van Dyke since Mary Poppins, so...I'm there with you. I'm also a huge Cosby fan in all sorts of ways, including Dr. Huxtable.

I'm quite keen on our current Prez as a dad too. His article in today's Parade Magazine is really cool.

Like others, I have to say that my hubby is a FAB-O dad, he's absolutely Great with our boys. And Hoooray and Good Dad's Day to my own father who will be - drum roll please - 90 in July. GOOOOO Dad! Grins.

Beth Andrews said...

Congrats on nabbing the GR, Jane!

You're so right about Andy Taylor! Very cool and he always let Opie learn those important lessons on his own.

My husband's family has a saying when a kid is having a tantrum - they call it having an "Opie fit" which I never got because Opie has to be one of the bet behaved kids EVER ;-)

I'll second your votes for sexy dads! Love me some Hugh, Eric and Brad *g*

Beth Andrews said...

YES, Blodeuedd!! I'm in total agreement with you on JDM! I loved the episodes with John and his sons.

And I saw Jeffrey Dean Morgan on the Bonnie Hunt show and he was just so sweet and charming and flirty with her! Too fun :-)

Beth Andrews said...

Helen, I'm going to have to rent Mr. Mom so I can watch it with my youngest daughter. I know she'll get a huge kick out of it *g*

Mr. C was another fabulous father! Sort of blustery but you're right, he always had the answers and not just for Richie and Joanie but for the other kids and Fonzie too :-)

Beth Andrews said...

You could argue against John Winchester being a good dad, but I won't.

Hi, MJ! I feel the same way. I know some people feel John was a terrible dad and he did make a lot of mistakes but for me, it's all about motivation. Plus, when it came right down to it, he gave up his life for his son. And those boys really did love and respect him even if they didn't agree with their upbringing.

Now as to Eric Taylor...really? Oh, I love his scenes with Julie and the baby! He's just such a goof and yes, a bit out of his element with some of the 'girl' stuff but I can look past that. I do think the show focuses much more on Tammy's relationship with Julie, though, which doesn't leave Eric much room sometimes.

And you're right about it seeming as if there aren't a lot of dads on TV. I wonder why that is? I'll have to search my brain and see if I can figure out some more favorites :-)

Beth Andrews said...

Hi, Enid! I agree Bones does a great job showing Seeley as a committed, involved dad even after a divorce. And it's obvious he's crazy about his son which I love as well :-)

Beth Andrews said...

Trish, I haven't seen that Entertainment Weekly cover but now I HAVE to *g* I did see Ryan on Regis and Kelly Friday and he's just so funny and seems really nice. My daughter and I both really loved Definitely, Maybe. I highly recommend it :-)

As to Veronica Mars, I've never seen the show but it's in my Netflix Queue. I've heard fabulous things about it!

Beth Andrews said...

Sherrinda, I'm jealous you've already seen The Proposal! My daughters and I are patiently waiting for it to come to town *g*

Yes and Yes to both your points on Castle!

Beth Andrews said...

Joan, I liked Billy Cosby's approach but you're right, it was always 'perfect' and he never seemed to get really angry. I think my favorite episode was when Vanessa announced she was engaged to an older man and while Bill was sort of calm, Claire blew a gasket. I was like, "Yes! Finally some realism" *g*

Hugs on not having your dad with you on Father's Day!

Beth Andrews said...

Dianna, the more I think about Mr. Mom the more funny scenes I remember. Like Jack getting hooked on soap operas and gaining weight and the neighbor lady coming on to him *g*

Okay, now I'm really anxious to watch it again :-)

Beth Andrews said...

Hi, Deb! I used to watch Family Jewels and you're right, Gene Simmons isn't what you'd expect! But the longer the show was on, the more I felt it was a bit...scripted *g*

I love how they show old home videos. They seem like a terrific family!

Beth Andrews said...

Susan, of course you can vote for your husband! Your little ones are so lucky to have their Daddy take them so seriously no matter what they're talking about *g*

And I love seeing my husband interact with our kids - he's a great dad! I also get a huge kick watching my 17 yo son with my 5 yo nephew and 2 yo niece. They both adore him and his patience and humor with them amazes me :-)

Beth Andrews said...

Louisa, I would vote for Steve Martin in both Father of the Bride movies! And what about his role in Parenthood? That's such a great movie and I loved his character *g*

Jeanne (AKA The Duchesse) said...

Another "set" of movie Dads who were great, were the three guys in Three Men and a Baby. They were all just so startled and cute.

Vin Diesel did pretty well in The Pacifier, even tho he wasn't technically a Dad - but he was a father figure.

Oh, and Capt. Von Trapp - Once Maria came along and he realized how precious his kids were! Ha!

Beth Andrews said...

Caren, I've only seen a few episodes of The Dick Van-Dyke Show but I loved them - and Rob Petrie *g* I especially loved the scenes he had with Laura!

Nancy said...

Jane, congrats on taking home the GR! I also see Andy Taylor, the consummate father figure.

Beth, what a fun topic! I agree with you about Richard Castle. His relationship with Alexis is very sweet.

I'd also vote for John Schneider as Jonathan Kent on Smallville. He and Annette O'Toole gave the Kents modern sensibilities but with the honor, responsibility and compassion that shaped the world's greatest hero.

An even more obscure choice would be doomed Captain George Kirk (played by Australian actor Chris Hemsworth, not to be confused with Chris Pine as Jim Kirk) in the opening sequence of Star Trek. I teared up before the title sequence, geek girl that I am.

In one of the special features on Shoot 'Em Up, a movie that lives up to its title rather emphatically but with a surprising amount of heart, Clive Owen commented that he had two children. His character becomes a surrogate dad and guardian to an abandoned baby some guys are trying to kill. So I'll pick him, too.

Nancy said...

MJ, another vote for Jonathan Kent! I think both John Schneider and Tom Wopat aged well after their "Dukes" period.

Good point about Noah, too. He does some pretty scuzzy things, but he always tries to protect his family.

Nancy said...

JT, how could I forget Cliff Huxtable? Bill Cosby was a great dad, and I agree that the humor added a lot.

Beth Andrews said...

Of course, the critics panned it as "run of the mill romantic comedy".

Oh, I love romantic comedies, too! The thing that got me was during an interview, Sandra Bullock claimed it WASN'T a RomCom but a comedy. She claimed so many RomComs aren't funny and that this one was a Comedy.

As my 14 yo would say: ooookay.

Beth Andrews said...

And Louisa, I love Steve Martin as the dad in 'Parenthood', digging through the garbage looking for his son's retainer. That is an awesome movie and so spot on!

LOL! Caren, I hadn't even seen this when I posted my response about Parenthood! It's such a great movie, isn't it?

Beth Andrews said...

We saw The Hangover last night (no dads in that one) and it was hilarious.

Donna, I sooo want to see this movie! I crack up at the commercials and my son and his friends watched it a few weeks ago and LOVED it *g*

I've never seen Two and a Half Men but I love the idea of them working together to raise a child :-)

Nancy said...

Jeanne--I agree on The Pacifier. The boy chose it for his birthday movie one year. Dreading Vin Diesel, the dh and I carted several kids to the movie and were pleasantly surpried. Diesel was great!

I just watched a dystopian future movie with him--can't remember the title to save my life, but it was new on DVD--in which he ends up with a baby after protecting its mother.

The "save the cat" moment came when some tough guys invaded his apartment to take him to their boss, and he took care to give the leftovers from supper to the street kid downstairs. Very sweet.

Beth Andrews said...

Jo, I never saw JDM on Grey's so that helped me when he came on Supernatural. Although I did have a few moments where I questioned if he was OLD enough to be their father, but I let myself believe it because...in case you haven't guessed...I love him :-)

Nancy said...

Ryan Reynolds was very good as the mutant Deadpool in Wolverine. Trish got a clip about his fate at the end of the credits in HER theater. My theater had one with Wolverine that was a bummer. :-/

Beth Andrews said...

Hey, Virginia! Glad you like the list. I can't wait for the new TV season to start either but first I need to catch up on LAST season! My TV viewing suffered greatly this past year *g*

Beth Andrews said...

His relationship with his daughter-and with his mother, are two of the key reasons that show rocks, IMO.

The mother is too funny! They're just so different from one another but still mesh. Which is what family's all about, right? *g*

Christie Kelley said...

Beth, loved the blog! I'm also a big Jeffrey Dean Morgan fan. He's a great father to Sam and Dean.

As far as actor dads, I'll take either Hugh or Johnny!

PinkPeony said...

Hi Beth!

I have to agree, Rick Castle is one hot daddy! So is Kyle Chandler's character in Friday Night Lights. I used to watch reruns of Family Affair when I was a kid and I liked "Uncle Bill", the father figure in the show and of course, Fred Mac Murray in My Three Sons. Also, I like the tough love attorney father from the movie, Clueless.

My dad wasn't the kind of father who took us places or read us bedtime stories, however, he spent many evenings in the dining room helping me and my friends with our chemistry and physics homework. I'll never forget him explaining the strength of an oxygen bond...he began with...the oxygen bond is like a woman at a shoe sale...

Happy Father's Day!
Jen

Ooh, lots of good ones have already mentioned so I'll just add one of my favourites off the top of my head. Gary Lewis as Billy's dad in Billy Elliot. :)

Beth Andrews said...

Jeanne, Happy 90th to your Dad! How fabulous *g* Hope he has a great birthday!!

I've been trying to think of some other TV dads and haven't come up with any yet. I'll have to do some google research ;-)

Beth Andrews said...

Another "set" of movie Dads who were great, were the three guys in Three Men and a Baby. They were all just so startled and cute.

I love that movie, Jeanne! Good choice *g*

Gerard Butler in Dear Frankie as Frankie's faux father was excellent, too :-)

Beth Andrews said...

Nancy, I caught a few of the early episodes of Smallville and I totally agree with the choice of John Schneider!

I'll have to check out Shoot 'Em Up! Sounds like my kind of movie *g*

We recently watched New In Town a RomCom with Harry Connick Jr as a single dad. The scene where his daughter is going on her first date is hilarious!

Beth Andrews said...

Ryan Reynolds was very good as the mutant Deadpool in Wolverine. Trish got a clip about his fate at the end of the credits in HER theater.

I missed Wolverine but in the interview I saw of Ryan, he said there might be plans to make another X-Men movie based on his character.

And he was great in Blade: Trinity, too. Actually, he was my favorite part of that movie ;-)

Beth Andrews said...

LOL, Christie. I'd take either Hugh or Johnny, too!

Our own Anna S sent me some pictures from the Stanley Cup finals (my son is a HUGE Penguins fan *g*) and there was one of a Penguin player with his wife and four kids. So cute! I'll have to pick him, too. But I don't know his name ;-)

Beth Andrews said...

Jen, sounds like your father knew his stuff - lol! What a great memory!

I also liked Uncle Bill and the dad on My Three Sons (the theme song is playing through my head right now *g*)

What about Dick Van Patten in Eight is Enough? I loved that show!

Or John Goodman in Roseann?

Or Treat Williams in Everwood?

Or Joe Lando in Dr Quinn?

Beth Andrews said...

Pissenlit, that is so funny because I was recently thinking about watching that movie again! Great choice :-)

Pissenlit said...

Nice! When I said "off the top of my head", what I really meant was "my mind went blank and so I glanced at my dvd collection and this is what I came up with". It got me thinking about watching it again. :)

I totally agree. I teared up both times I saw it. For such a small role, it packs a lot of punch.

Trish Milburn said...

Beth, I loved Ryan in Blade Trinity. He actually has a line in there, which I can't repeat here because of language, that makes me laugh out loud every time I hear it. It's when he's facing the dogs. :)

Oh Beth, what a great list! I just couldn't stop smiling at the thought of all these great dads. I am especially inclined toward Michael Keaton. What an adorable Mr. Mom he was! Oh and I love Ryan Reynolds. He's the perfect combination of sweet and masculine. And (at least in the movies!) a fantastic dad. Is there anything sexier?

Dina said...

That's a great list of men there, some are my favs too. I just watched the 1st ep again last night of Castle.

When I said "off the top of my head", what I really meant was "my mind went blank and so I glanced at my dvd collection and this is what I came up with".

LOL! That's how my mind works as well *g* I saw a commercial for the Broadway show and that's when I thought of watching it again. Great movie!

Beth Andrews said...

Trish, I can't remember that line but I remember some of the zingers he aimed at his female tormenter. Too funny!

I agree, Kirsten! I first fell for Ryan in Just Friends. He was just so cute and funny and I really like him in all the interviews I've seen him in *g*

Beth Andrews said...

Hi, Dina! I need to rent the entire first season of Castle since I missed the last half. I'll have to put it in my Netflix queue so I can get it as soon as it's released :-)
