Arming the Zodiac with Addison Fox!

interview with Suz

Bandits, Bandit Buddies and all our readers, y'all are in for a treat. Today you will get a look at a brand-spanking-new paranormal series and the author, who is not only a dear friend of mine, but a very creative writer! Welcome, Addison Fox. Pull up a lounge chair and we'll have the cabana boys bring some wine.

Suz: Congratulations on your first book, WARRIOR ASCENDED, hitting the bookstore shelves! We love a call story at the Bandit Lair, so please tell us how this first sale happened?

Addison: I love telling this story - thank you for letting me share it!!!

The call came on November 20, 2008. I was at work and I got an email from my agent, asking, "Are you going to be around tonight?" NAL had the overall series proposal and a proposal on the first book. I'd already made one round of revisions on the proposal and they'd agreed to look at it again and now we were just waiting to hear.

I immediately called my sister (hey - if my productivity was shot for the day, hers could be, too!) and we spent quite a bit of time on the phone and in email trying to figure out the outcome. Fortunately it didn't take all day and my agent called me around 2 to let me know NAL wanted to buy it. I had to slip out of a meeting to take the call and hide behind a wall of cubicles. So here I am, trying to take notes and not scream and jump up and down.

I then started calling and emailing everyone I knew!

Suz: I love the premise for the Sons Of The Zodiac series. Can you fill our readers in on it and how you came up with the idea?

Addison: I wish I could explain the moment of connection, but I was sitting there on the couch watching TV, not even thinking about plotting and this idea of the zodiac and warriors popped into my head.

Truly - it was this rare, "gift moment" that I have no idea where it came from. That said, never one to look a "gift moment" in the mouth - I immediately jumped online and started googling the zodiac. I quickly found the connection between modern-day Western astrology and Greek mythology and I was off to the races.

What's been the most fun part of the series is the richness available from a world-building perspective. The zodiac is unique and balanced so there are a multitude of traits to pull on from a character perspective. And then the Greek mythology component adds this really neat layer of world building that's incredibly fun to draw from.

Suz: These guys are all alpha males to the nth degree, just my favorite kind. Brody is the Leo Warrior. With 13 warriors to write about what made you decide to start with him?

Addison: Brody was the other gift in the series. He was the image in my mind as I put the zodiac/warrior connection together. Although he isn't a shape shifter, the idea of the Lion was immediately sexy and appealing and brings to mind a very powerful, very alpha male.

Suz: Your heroine, Ava Harrison, starts out as a shy work-oriented woman, trying to hide any femininity behind drab clothes. How does she first meet Brody? And how does she react to his invasion of her life?

Addison: Ava's got a lot of baggage. Her father - a world famous archaeologist who discovered the famed Summoning Stones of Egypt - was murdered in front of her when she was young. The murder was always believed random, but it shook the very foundation of her life.

She had a dream to follow in his footsteps, but from a more academic perspective as her fear of leaving the safe world she's built around her has always kept her from field work. So instead, she's put her love of archaeology into a career as a curator at the American Museum of Natural History.

Brody is an overwhelming force in her life, but one she's deeply attracted to. He also arrives at an incredibly important moment - she's bringing her father's work to a major exhibit at the museum. Although Brody's presence in the museum is explained under the guise of museum security, she senses immediately he's more than he seems.

His presence also coincides with something else. Ava's never told anyone, but she has horrible visions when she gets anywhere near the Stones. Although she's suspicious of Brody's sudden arrival, she quickly realizes she needs an ally as the power of the stones - and the visions they cause only her - grows stronger.

Suz: Can you explain what the summoning stones are?

Addison: The Summoning Stones are a very powerful piece of magic from the reign of Thutmose the III in ancient Egypt. Five, equally shaped stones, about the size of a woman's hand, that were placed in museums around the world after their discovery. Ava's exhibit is the first time they will be all brought back together.

Each stone possesses a different quality - life, death, love, sexuality, infinity. When put together, they have the power to grant the one who can harness them - a "Chosen One" in every age - power over everything.

While I don't want to give anything away, betcha can't guess who is the "Chosen One" of this age?.

Suz: What's next for the Sons Of The Zodiac?

Addison: Ooooh - my Scorpio's up next - Kane Montague. I love all my warriors, but Kane's got a special place in my heart. When we meet him in WARRIOR ASCENDED, he's just been duped (in a very sexy way) by a secret agent, going by the name of Ilsa.

WARRIOR AVENGED begins six months later, when Kane finally runs down the sexy operative he's not been able to get out of his head. Of course, both of them have some fairly large secrets and it's going to take a whole lot of together time to make them realize they work far better together than alone.

Suz: Ooooooooo Scropio...uh, just happens to be my favorite birth sign!! And Kane is yummo, ladies!! I love your heroes and love the feature interview you do with Brody on your website at http://www.addisonfox.com/index.php/leo/
*whispering to the Bandits and friends...I'm waiting to see what she posts about Kane*

Addison: So I've got a question for everyone. I absolutely love reading about astrology and I'm a total horoscope junkie. Do you all believe the stars influence our personalities or that there are traits that we hold that come from the sign we're born under?

Suz: Addison is giving away a signed copy of WARRIOR ASCENDED to one lucky commenter.

P.S. And as always, if you click on the book, you can go to Amazon.com to order your own copy. And don't forget, clicking on the Bandit books will do the same...and check out Bandit websites and my online story blog by clicking our pics!

My Zodiac is Scorpio :) love that !

people say that A Scorpio people is an Introvert, a quiet person, kind, a faithful/loyal person. And also mysterious :)
They can be very sweet person but can be the meanest ! (hey, that's what i read somewhere about the Scorpio people)

sometimes, i believe that there are traits that we hold that come from the sign we're born under.

Congrats on your first release !

Donna MacMeans said...

Uh Mariska...I'm a Scorpio, too. I don't think I've ever been described as an introvert - or quiet (grin). My father called me "chatterbox" when I was young.

My understanding is that Scorpios are incredibly sexy and passionate - yeah - that's me. That's the ticket! (smile).

So from one passionate person to another - congrats on nabbing the Golden Rooster. Hmmm....I wonder what his sign is?

Donna MacMeans said...

Hey Addison - This sounds like a great series! Congrats on the sale! Very nice cover. I'll be watching for it -

Blodeuedd said...

I don't understand why they would influence...BUT I am totally a Pisces, all the traits are so me. No other sign in the zodiac would fit my personality. So I beli9eve

Michelle Santiago said...

thanks for the great interview suz! congrats on the release ms. fox! your zodiac series sound amazing! i love a good paranormal romance series with yummy heroes ;D

i'm an aquarius (can't for that book!) and i had to look it up because i'm not a big horoscope fan but according to this site aquarius likes "fame & recognition, personal privacy, dreams, magic, change for its own sake, surprises" and that's true enough!

it also says aquarius dislikes "emotion and intimacy, people who show off, being taken for granted, being pinned down, violence and fighting, and senseless or purposeless extravagance of any sort" which is VERY true for me as well so zodiac/astrology might have something and i should pay attention to it more.

thanks! great question! :)

Congrats Mariska have fun with him

Addison the book sounds fantastic I have added it to my must have list, I loves reading about new worlds.
Congrats on the release and love the call story it must have been hard to keep quiet LOL.

I am an aries and I read my stars whenever I read the paper but I am not sure what traits I should have being an aries.

Have Fun
Helen

Addison said...

Thank, Mariska! (And congrats on winning the GR today!)

To your point about traits - that's been one of the really fun things about doing research for the series. I love reading about all the signs, learning their traits and then finding creative ways to apply them to the series.

Addison

Addison said...

Hi Donna-

Thanks for your kind words!

And clearly the Scorps are in good company on the Bandit blog - you, Suz, Mariska.

I'm looking forward to all the fun "sign" talk today!

Addison

hrdwrkdmom aka Dianna said...

I am an Aquarius and I would say most of the traits are pretty close to the mark. My mother was born "on the cusp" and that made for an interesting personality. She had traits of aquarius and pisces both. I believe the moon and stars are more powerful than most think. Any female knows the power of the moon. Just watch the tides and you see it.

Addison said...

Blodeuedd:

I know exactly what you mean! I'm a Gemini and every single trait I read about the sign explains me to a T!

Addison

Addison said...

Hi Chelleyreads!

Thanks for the congrats - I am so excited about bringing this series to readers and I'm having a blast thinking up what evil author torture I can wring on each warrior :-)

I haven't introduced my Aquarian yet, but I've already got plotting notes about him and the woman who will give him a run for his money....

Addison

Addison said...

Thanks, Helen!

Aries has been a fun sign to play with. Grey is my Aries warrior and he is introduced in WARRIOR ASCENDED. I'm looking forward to the day when I can write his book - he's got some dark and twisty in his background that will be so much fun to explore!

Addison

Addison said...

hrdwrkdmom - Dianna:

I love the cusp babies - it's like their feet are firmly planted in two worlds!

And to your point about the moon and stars - I do agree with you - I think we are far more affected by our natural world than we often recognize. A good friend of mine who worked in insurance for years said accidents/general craziness really does go up when there's a full moon.

Addison

Gillian Layne said...

Addison, the books sound awesome! I love good world building--and anything with Egypt.

It does seem like people tend to fit traditional traits of their signs. I know I've always been a "look at every side of a problem ten times" gal long before I knew that Libra had anything to do with scales. :)

Kirsten said...

I'm a Libra, it means I'm indecisive and appreciate beauty. Not that I really believe it describes you to a t.

Susan Sey said...

Mariska, congrats on the GR! Now, I wonder, what's HIS sign? :-)

And Addison, congrats on what sounds like a fabulous new series! I love light-alternate world stuff--defined (by me, of course) as when paranormal stuff invades the world as I know it. Just love that set up.

And what's not to love about a sexy leo warrior come to set a girl free from her self-imposed bonds? Yum yum.

I personally don't believe in astrology but I do love the way certain mythologies help us make sense of an otherwise confusing and random world. So I'm all for gleaning whatever wisdom and insight you can from interpreting life through a number of lenses. And stars are so romantic...

:-)

Congrats again! Can't wait to dive into the Zodiac!

Gannon Carr said...

Hi, Addison. I'm so excited you are in the Lair today! I was lucky enough to read an ARC of WARRIOR ASCENDED, and I absolutely devoured it! I'm writing a review which will be posted at The Romance Dish on Sunday. Brody stole my heart, and I'm sure the other warriors will do the same.

I can't wait for Kane's story! Gotta know who the would be assassin is and what their connection is.

I'm an Aries--don't know if I'm as dark and twisty as Grey ;-). I think I have some of the traits of an Aries, but many of the Pisces traits are more like me. I was born on March 26th, so it's sort of close to the cusp, so maybe that's why.

Addison said...

Thanks, Gillian!

I had a lot of fun with the Egyptian aspects of the story, too. One of the things that was so much fun for me as I wrote this was that the Warriors and their mission really make for a fun landscape to explore as an author. The whole globe is mine to play with!!! (insert evil cackling here...) :-)

Addison

Addison said...

Kirsten;

My mom and sister are both Libras, so there was a lot of balance in my house growing up!!

One of my dearest friends is a Libra as well, so I find the scales of balance - and the wonderful ability to see two sides of an argument - as a great trait!

Addison

Addison said...

Susan:

Thanks so much! And you really hit on what was so much fun for me in developing this series. While the warriors all have paranormal attributes, they live in OUR world. I've had a ton of fun playing with that idea.

Addison

Addison said...

Gannon:

Thanks so much for your kind words! I definitely have a huge soft spot for Brody :-)

I'm very excited for Kane's story as well (I just saw the cover a few weeks ago and - whew! - I think the art department at NAL is just the bomb-diggity!!) He definitely has a score to settle after what happens to him in WARRIOR ASCENDED with the oh-so-mysterious Ilsa. I just finished the revisions on his book - WARRIOR AVENGED - which will be out in September.

Addison

Addison said...

Hey there, Banditas!

I have to take a break and head off to my day job, but I'll be back on at lunch.

During that time, I will endeavor to get my exclamation point use under control :-)

But I am just SO EXCITED to be visiting with all of you today!

XOXO,
Addison

Suzanne Ferrell said...

Congrats Mariska on getting the GR!

I'm a Scorpio, too.

Suzanne Ferrell said...

Hey Addison! So glad to have you here today.

I think you can take certain parts of the attributes for your Zodiac sign and apply them as you see fit. For me it's the passionate part of the Scorpio that I most resemble. And not just because I write very sensual stories. No it's the loving or hating with a fierceness that is a big part of my personality.

Suzanne Ferrell said...

Hey Donna!

I was never a "quiet introverted" scorpio, either. Are they sure they got that definition right?

Suzanne Ferrell said...

Hey Chelley!

You said: i love a good paranormal romance series with yummy heroes...

I think you're really going to like Addison's books then. The guy-to-guy banter and how she lets their zodiac traits dictate some of their behavior comes through in a big way in this book.

Suzanne Ferrell said...

Hey Helen!!

You said:Congrats on the release and love the call story it must have been hard to keep quiet LOL.

hehehe...You don't know how true that is for my friend Addison! But once she got to let the news out, there was lots of SQUEEEING going on amongst her friends and her!!!

Suzanne Ferrell said...

Hey Diana!

The moon and the tides do affect human emotions, (ask any nurse or doctor), so why wouldn't the stars?

Suzanne Ferrell said...

Hey Blodeude!

Which of the piceses traits do you see the most in you?

Pamela Stone said...

Hey Addison,

I too have to get to the day job. Congrats on the books. They sound wonderful. I'm a Leo. I had a sweatshirt for years that said, "I'm Leo. I'm bossy!" My husband ran when he came home and I was wearing it. Ha! That power is worth something.

Suzanne Ferrell said...

Hey Gillian!

My oldest and youngest are Libras. But I really see the trying to see both sides trait in my daughter. She has a very difficult time with menus because, and I quote, "everything looks good". She always orders last, no matter how many people there are at the table! LOL

Suzanne Ferrell said...

Hey Kirsten!

Let me guess...do you have issues with menus, too? :)

Suzanne Ferrell said...

Hey Susan!

I love light-alternate world stuff--defined (by me, of course) as when paranormal stuff invades the world as I know it. Just love that set up....

This is what I love about Addison's book and series. It's a totally unique take on a paranormal! Although there is lots of dark in the story...I have to confess loving NO vampires in it...so far!

Suzanne Ferrell said...

High 5's Gannon!!!

I was the same way with this book!! And girl, this is a whole new series of heroes to obssess over, don't you think?

Suzanne Ferrell said...

Hey Gannon...have you checked out Addison's interview with Brody over on her website? If you didn't get enough of this fierce warrior you need to check it out!

Suzanne Ferrell said...

Hey Pam Stone!

Always good to see a friend and chaptermate in the Lair!

You said:I had a sweatshirt for years that said, "I'm Leo. I'm bossy!"..why does this NOT surprise me? hehehe. You know it's always best to warn people what to expect, isn't it?

AS for being a Leo, I'm thinking you're going to appreciate Brody very much in WARRIOR ASCENDED!

Lori Wilde said...

Congrats Addison! I can't wait to read it.

Lori

Jo Davis said...

Hey Addison!
It's so great so see release week arrive, my friend! I can't wait to read the whole story! I'm proud to have been one of the first people to read this series proposal and talk with you about it, and I knew right away this series was going to be huge!!

I'm a Pisces and I'm always amazed at how spot-on my character traits are! I love reading horoscopes too. I don't know if there's something mystical going on with the stars and such, but I find it fascinating!

Congrats, girlfriend!!!

Nancy said...

Addison, welcome and congratulations on your launch! This is a great interview.

So we have a new series featuring archaeology, powerful warriors, and ancient magic. Sounds fabulous, even before the romance figures in! As Suz predicted, I think I have to have this!

I'm a Taurus, and I'm certainly stubborn enough to fit within that sign. My jury is still out, though, on whether the stars control our personalities. I wouldn't say absolutely not, based on the old line from Hamlet (stranger things in Heaven and Hell, etc.), but I wouldn't say absolutely yes on grounds that it feels a bit far-fetched to me and abdicates personal responsibility to a degree I'm not sure I like. I think we have basic inclinations but ultimately choose how we interact with other people. So I'm open.

Mariska, congrats on taking home the rooster. :-)

Alice said...

Major congrats, Addison! Warrior Ascended is an absolutely fantastic story with hot alpha males, strong heroine, and intriguing paranormal elements. Loved it!

Gannon Carr said...

And girl, this is a whole new series of heroes to obssess over, don't you think?

You know it, Suz! You can never have too many hot heroes to obsess over! LOL

Kathy Ivan said...

Hey Addison!

Girlfriend, so excited about your release. I've been waiting for months to get my hot little hands on this book. I'm an Aquarius, but more the introverted type (as you know--at least introverted until you get to know me, then it's no holds barred).

Miss seeing your smiling face, but I'm sure that great things are happening for you. Good luck and great sales for this series.

CrystalGB said...

Hi Addison. Congratulations on your debut book. Sounds great. I find astrology fascinating I am a Leo. I find that I do have some of the traits that Leos are supposed to possess.

Sandy Blair said...

Hi Addison! Love your blog and this series' premise. Got my hands on book #1 already!!!!

I'm a cancer and yes, I fit the profile. Just a lil' ol' homebody.

Love your photo, btw.

Sandy

Louisa Cornell said...

Yay Mariska! He's back at your house. Hmm. Somebody needs to do some research and see when we first started awarding the GR. Then we can figure out his sign. We already know he must have been born in the Year of the Rooster!

Addison, what a great story about the inspiration for this series. You just never know when the muse is going to dump something in your lap. And then immediately run away laughing and say "Do something with THAT!" And it sounds like you succeeded in spades! The series sounds intriguing and I love the Ancient Egytian connection !

I do read my horoscope every day. Some days it fits, some days it doesn't.

I'm a Capricorn. And I think the traits come pretty close on me.

Capricorns are very determined to rise to the top. They will exert all their energy into achieving a goal, sacrificing relationships if needed. They often wear masks to prevent people from seeing the real person they are, but those who take the time will find Capricorns to be loyal and affectionate.

Driven as they are, Capricorns are rarely idle. They have faith in themselves more than in other people and realize if something is going to happen, it is going to be because of their doing. Many see this trait as cold, but Capricorns are merely self-sufficient people. Because they realize time is precious, they are great organizers and capable of paying thorough attention to detail.

But despite their aspirations, they are also very grounded and practical people. Capricorns are ruled by Saturn, the planet of limitations and it is almost as if Saturn realizes that time can be short, therefore they are great organizers and planners.

Capricorns' greatest strengths are their amazing patience, work-ethic, and their first-rate common sense. It may take them a while to get there, but these Capricorn traits ensure that success is inevitable. They are willing to work long hours over a long period of time to prove themselves. They completely understand that they have to work their way to the top.

Some of that is true, but not all. I would be NOWHERE on my writing journey without my CP, my hometown writing group, communities like the Banditas and my two mentors Anna Campbell and Diane Gaston!

jo robertson said...

Hi, Addison, welcome to the Lair. I love your name, BTW! Very classy.

Your series sounds intriguing and I love your titles!

Hmmm, I'm a Pisces, but I've never put much stock in such things. After all, a fish? A FISH?? Oh, come on!

Anna Campbell said...

Hey, Addison, huge congratulations on the release of your debut. And what an incredibly clever idea for a series! Love your call story! Suz, thanks so much for bringing Addison into the lair today!

Suzanne Ferrell said...

Hey Lori Wilde! Glad to see you in the Bandit Lair!!

Suzanne Ferrell said...

Hey, Lorraine!

I'm not sure if Daniel Craig was more than his usual inspiration for our friend Addison this time, but Brody is a blonde Lion type for sure!

Kirsten said...

@ Suzanne - LOL, I do have that problem. Last week I (finally) ordered lasagna after what looked like 20 minutes & let my sister give her order to the waitress. She went for a Mexican veg pie .... I decided to have the same. Only to regret my quick decision when I saw someone else eating the very tasty looking lasagna. The pie was good, but I kept wondering if the lasagna might have been a better choice.

Pat Cochran said...

Congratulations, Addison, on the
Zodiac/Warrior series and Warrior

Suzanne Ferrell said...

Hey Jo Davis! Always nice to have one of my CP's in the Lair!

After I read Warrior Ascended for the interview with Addison, you and I talked about how unique this idea was. And I must say I'm already counting down the days until Kane's story is available, too!

Tracy Garrett said...

Addison, I've been jumping up and down for you for two days now--I'm so excited to see WARRIOR ASCENDED hit the shelves!

While I'm not a zodiac junkie like you, I'm interested and amazed at how many traits of Virgo I recognize in myself. And it's fun to read and dream that all the predictions will come true. :)

Suzanne Ferrell said...

Nancy....told you this series would pique your interest!!

My Dad, sister and one of my daughters are all Tauruses and since those are 3 of my favorite people, I can understand why you and I get along so well! hehehe

Suzanne Ferrell said...

Waving madly at Alice! Hey y'all this is Addison's CP!!

Girl, I loved, loved this book, world and heroes!!

Suzanne Ferrell said...

You know it, Suz! You can never have too many hot heroes to obsess over! LOL..

Gannon, true, too true!

Suzanne Ferrell said...

Hey Kathy Ivan! Welcome to the Lair!!

If you haven't gotten your copy yet, our friends over at LEGACY BOOKS in Plano ordered tons and have them available, as well as B&N, Borders and of course you can order through it Amazon.com by clicking on the cover on the blog.

Suzanne Ferrell said...

Hey Crystal!

You are a lucky leo then, because your hero was the first in the series!! I think Brody has all the big characteristics of Leo males in this book.

Suzanne Ferrell said...

Hey Sandy! Nice to see my other CP swinging through the Lair!

Girl, for a homebody, you sure have traveled the world over!

Suzanne Ferrell said...

Hey Louisa!

You have given me great hopes for my granddaughter who is a Capricorn. Maybe she can get her grandfather and her mother organized?

Suzanne Ferrell said...

Hey Jo Mama!!

What's wrong with a fish? Besides, Pisces are supposed to get along well with us Scorpios so I'm thinking that's a good thing! :)

Suzanne Ferrell said...

Hey Karyn!

Another Cancer heard from! What strong trait about Cancers would you like to see in a hero?

Suzanne Ferrell said...

Hey Anna!

I love bringing in new releases and authors to the lair, don't you? And any series that's going to promise me lots of hunky heroes...well, just more icing on the cake!

Suzanne Ferrell said...

Hehehe, Kirsten!

Once I took my daughter to NYC on a field trip with her choir friends. The other mothers of our smaller group decided to take our 8 girls to a Chinese restaurant for dinner. I insisted Ali order last, and after her 7 friends all ordered some kind of fried rice, she ordered:

1. Wonton soup...with a full discussion with the waiter about the different kinds of noodles in the soups
2. egg rolls
3. scallops and vegetables

AND when her meal came, she ate some of two of her friends kinds of fried rice! (child weighed all off 110#'s!)

Suzanne Ferrell said...

Hey Pat!

Always good to have you stopping in the Lair!

Suzanne Ferrell said...

Hey Tracy G!!

You're a Virgo, huh? Somehow I see that fitting very well with you.

Pissenlit said...

Hiya Addison!

Yay for Leos! Brody sounds yummy ;)

I've never paid much attention to astrology. That I'm a Leo is pretty much the extant of my knowledge of it. :)

jo robertson said...

Getting along well with Scorpios is great, Suz, but an affinity for water? Not so much this mama!

Dr. Big's a Gemini, small wonder there.

Hellie Sinclair said...

I am a Pisces so of course I believe in this stuff. *LOL* I don't always believe my horoscope you see in the papers, but when you read the general traits associated with each sign, I believe it. (Okay, it says Pisces are "sweet", which I think is FALSE, but otherwise, it's true. *LOL*)

Totally sounds like my kind of series!!! Yeah!!

Anna Sugden said...

Welcome Addison your book sounds fascinating!

I'm a typical Leo - or so I'm told. *g*

I check out horoscopes occasionally, but don't put much faith in the ones in the papers and magazines as my Dad used to write them for his paper and he made them up. That said, I do believe in astrology and have had at least one occasion where something charted was uncannily accurate!

catslady said...

I'm in the middle - I enjoy reading them and I think you tend to look for your good points lol but there does seem to be some basic truth in some of the signs. My hubby is a Scorpio. I think you have a really original premise for your books - sounds very interesting!!

Tracy Garrett said...

Hey Suz! I have to agree - the Virgo thing is pretty much me. And I married a Taurus, who is only surpassed in stubborn by a Leo.

Wonderful interview. I loved reading your “call story.” How cool that you were able to share that day with your sister over the phone.

I’m so excited to get my hands on WARRIOR ASCENDED. I bought it last night at book club and I can’t wait to dive in and read. Can you tell us about any appearances or signings you have scheduled this Spring? I know you're coming to Dallas at some point and I want my copy signed!

Congratulations again on WARRIOR ASCENDED! I'm thrilled for you!

@MsHellion

Thanks for your note. I love to read my horoscope - whether or not it's true, it's always a fun kick off to the day.

Speaking of which.....

@Anna Sudgen

I am laughing so hard about your dad making up the horoscopes! :-)

@catslady

Thanks so much - I'm having a blast with the warriors!

And I totally agree with you about focusing on the good points - it makes for much nicer days to think about the good things in our lives!

@KayThomas

Thanks, Kay! And you sneaky friend you, I do, in fact, have some signings set up. I'll be signing at Legacy Books in Plano, TX on Sunday, April 25th from 2:30-4.

The folks at Legacy Books have been huge supporters, especially the awesome Kathy Baker and her book club, the Cover Girls!!

PS Ms. Thomas....you've got a release hitting the shelves in a few weeks, too...I can't WAIT for BULLETPROOF BODYGUARD!

OK...I just looked back over my posts....I truly do have an addiction to exclamation points. I just can't help myself!!! (They just seem to make email and text more friendly, somehow) :-)

Addison, Taurus is third? Why not second? Or, now that I think of it, first? *g*

I picked up the book this afternoon and am looking forward to it. You probably don't know Suz has been taunting me with how she's already read it, and she loved it, and it was wonderful, and I was going to love it, too, but she wouldn't tell me about it. So now I have my own!

I KNEW this place would be jumping today while I slaved away!

I'm so excited for you Addison! You welcomed me in Dallas last year like a long lost friend and I know your books are going to be a smash hit (buying mine tomorrow!)

I think I fit the Aires attributes pretty well though I've never looked good in horns :-) Fire sign, bold, passionate....loves a good head butt...

Hi Addison,
It's so nice to see you on here! I miss seeing you at the DARA meetings. Can hardly wait to read your books! Of course, my favorite sign is Scorpio. :) And I do have a good deal of the traits.

Congrats on your release!

I think so! I am a Gemini, I believe I have two personalities at times. I a bit crazy like most Geminis! LoL

Whoops - I'm totally late to the party, but thanks for visiting with us Addison!
As for your question... yes and no. I mean it's nice to look at/fun to think "oh hey, horoscope!" And some of my zodiac personality traits are right on, but some are the total opposite sooooo..... :P
But yes, in reading/books, entertainment, good!

I think it's fun, but I don't really believe in it.
