January 2009 Coming Attractions

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009!

We have an exciting list of guests and special blog topics from our Banditas for this month. Let’s start the year off with a bang!

Tomorrow, January 2, Bandita Suzanne guests Harlequin Intrigue writer Kay Thomas whose debut book BETTER THAN BULLETPROOF got a 4 ½ star rating from Romantic Times.

Join us on January 6 for Bandita Kate’s guest Maureen Child to celebrate her release of BEDEVILED. (Check out that HOT cover!) We'll party hearty and discuss her ultra HOT Fae Warriors and the women who love them!

RITA-nominated author Pamela Clare, Joan’s guest on January 13, will talk about her new historical release UNTAMED. Join us to hear about this historical set in a different time period.

On January 19, we welcome my guest Misa Ramirez, to celebrate the release of her debut book LIVING THE VIDA LOCA. Misa also hosts "Chasing Heroes," which you can check out at http://www.chasingheroes.com/.

Aunty Cindy welcomes guest writer Tina Ferraro on January 21 to discuss her new YA release, THE ABC'S OF KISSING BOYS.

January 27 brings to the Lair another of Trish’s guests, Helen Scott Taylor. Helen celebrates the release of her American Title Contest-winning paranormal romance THE MAGIC KNOT.

On January 29 Jeanne hosts guest Heidi Betts whose contemporary debut TANGLED IN LOVE, a "funny, sexy yarn," releases this month.

And on the last day of the month, January 31, Kirsten's guest, New York Times best-selling author Angela Fox, joins us to discuss her Accidental Demon Slayer series.

In addition, the Banditas will visit RNTV the week of January 26-30. Join us and our hosts Romance Novel Television for a great week of Bandita Banter. Last time we invaded, the party was so loud, they had to call the authorities! Let's make it even bigger this time round!

Danie88, once I finish making brunch for the "crew" at my house, I'm checking out the book blog at your place. :>

PJ, if you read it in one gulp, its going on my TBR pile ASAP. Alas for Bedeviled, but it's got to wait in line behind another Devil...Anna's TTD. :> However, I'll get to it, my pretty.

Lovin' life in the beautiful 23 degree (farenheit) sunshine today. See ya' later!

Exciting to kick off the new year with these new releases!

Holy mama, I've turned into a slut for male chests. I'll take the cover of Untamed and frame it!

Treethyme...the BOOK is EVERY bit as ...growl worthy? FANTASTIC series!

Pamela is a great writer.

And Duchesse, Danie's site is awesome! I encourage everyone to visit.

Now, I have a pile of black eyed peas that somehow are being flung at my house. What to do? What to do?

I could make a black eyed pea snowman.....except if I use a carrot for a nose does that make him a casserole? :-)

Any other suggestions?

Happy New Year all!

I ended up working until 10.00 last night so me and the BF didn't make it out :-( that is okay though, I am nothing if not flexible.
Hope this year brings us all health and prosperity, meeting our goals and lots and lots of new books!

Buffie said...

Looks like another fun month here in the lair! Can't wait to meet these authors and see what else is going on here.

Also, looking forward to the Bandita invasion at RNTV. It's always a fun time.

Fedora, great nabbing of the New Year's chook! I'm afraid he will be VERY hung over. Virginia wasn't even trying to keep him out of the champers!

Happy New Year, everyone! Wishing you all marvelous success in all your enterprises this year.

THANK YOU for hanging out with us. I hope we deliver all the Bandita goodness you've come to know and love in 2009. We plan to!! *g*

Sorry 'bout the peas, Joanie. I had extra and my boys got carried away...As to the carrot, if you add that and a ham hock you've got LUNCH. Grins.

And I agree, that cover is growl worthy! SLURP!

Treethyme, it's not just you. We ALL have had that reaction to Untouched. It's HAWT!!

Anna Campbell said...

Hey, a great month coming up in the lair! We're starting things off with style. I think the RNTV invasion will be a hoot. It was huge last year.

Fedora, congrats on the chook. I hope he's not too bedraggled after P226 caught him!

Dani, good luck with the blog! I've been over and you've got a fantastic first post up. Love the polls!

Gannon Carr said...

Fedora, congrats on nabbing the GR for the New Year. He'll probably sleep all day after partying all night. :)

What a great line up for January--perfect start to a new year. I'm particularly looking forward to the Bandita invasion over at RNTV! Y'all know how to partay!

Happy New Year Banditas. I hope it brings you all happiness and success. I am so pschyed about this upcoming months. I just found this site about 2 weeks ago and I just have to tell you YOU GUYS ROCK. I still havent recovered all the way from Anna's party the other night. My devil of a date sure knew how to have a good time. :)

Jeanne (AKA The Duchesse) said...

Hi Sarabelle! Happy New Year. Glad you found us in December and glad you came back. Wasn't Anna's party FUN??? :> Wild times around the Lair. Heehee

Unknown said...

Wild could possibly be an understanding. If any one is familiar with Lord Craven Moore from Lust in Time, he has this sword thingy thing he does and well words just cant do it justification, but his actions sure do.

Unknown said...

oops I meant understatement not understanding. hehehehe, Im still all flustered.

Joan said...

Welcome Sarabelle! Always room for another BB

sword thingy thing

Um....that's ONE way of saying it

:-)

Jeanne (AKA The Duchesse) said...

uh-huh, you betcha, Sarabelle. It's just that kind of place.

Pat Cochran said...

Happy New Year to all! And Congrats
on the great schedule of guests for
the month! Looking forward to their

HAPPY HAPPY NEW YEAR
To all the Banditas and BB!

Aunty has been incognito for a few days and must now hie herself off to the dreaded deadline cave for a few more, but it will all be for the good.

2008 was a GREAT year in the Lair and 2009 promises to be EVEN BETTER! With our fantastic line-up of guests and impending invasion of RNTV 2009 is off to a rousing start!

AC

Joan said...

A quick addendum,

Stephanie Rowe will not be able to join us on January 5th. I'm sure Trish will get it scheduled ASAP.

So....instead...you get...

ME?

Come by anyway ;-)

Looks like everyone's' 2009 is off to a great start. PJ, I like your new photo.

We had quiet day, poking around and working on various things. The boy is busy ridding his room of all traces of his childhood interests--he's at that stage--and I've been working on various projects. The dh has bustled around getting assorted things done. We've enjoyed the quiet.

Suz, congrats on having the "first" baby again!

Minna, I'm so glad your power's back. We discovered after a hurricane, quite a few years ago now, how dependent we'd become on electricity.

Joan, watch those black-eyed peas. They go splat if you miss. *g*

I checked out Danie's blog and Gillian's--both lots of fun!

Nancy said...

Hi, Sarabelle--welcome! We're glad you like it here.

AC, good luck in the dreaded deadline cave. We'll miss you.

Joanie, looking forward to your January 5 and Stephanie's rescheduled date!

Dianna, sorry y'all didn't make it out, but I gather you had a good evening anyway. Work can be a bummer sometimes.

Treethyme wrote: Holy mama, I've turned into a slut for male chests.

This seems to be a trend on covers, faces or male torsos, with fewer clinch covers except as step-backs (and the one for TTD is smokin').

Crianlarich said...

Chiming in before the clock strikes twelve and New Year's Day slips past...

Happy New Year, Everyone!

Jeanne (AKA The Duchesse) said...

That is one smokin' hot step back on TTD isn't it? Whew! And some of the male chest covers...yum, yum. My only complaint - and truly it's more of a preference than a complaint - is that they're all pictured with no chest hair. I mean, c'mon, ladies. Do you KNOW anyone but a male model who shaves who has NO chest hair?

I'm very fond of it too, so...

But, like I said, it's a personal preference. Ha!

Anna Campbell said...

Sarabelle, I promised no headaches! I hope you didn't have a hangover!

Unknown said...

Oh no Anna wasnt my head that ached. My feet are a little sore from all that dancing, I would like to suggest that maybe a chair or a pillow or two be placed in all alcoves for the next party. :)
But other then that all is well, no hangovers here.
