Bandits Take Cyberspace By Storm!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Zorro - Romance Bandits' inspiration!

Don't panic - it only sounds like you need to lock up your nubile virgins. In reality, the Romance Bandits are a mostly harmless group of romance writers who all happened to be finalists in Romance Writers of America's 2006 Golden Heart contest. Our ranks include all the fabulous authors you see featured down our side panel. We are not only a fine-looking group, but talented as well!

Below, you will find some of our previous posts (from before we declared ourselves street legal). You will find posts that make you laugh, make you think and make you itch to post a comment. Post away!

We are cooking up a Wild Weekend for all our friends in cyberspace. Bookmark this blog and check back often to find out what the Romance Bandits are up to. We guarantee you a wild ride.

So tell us, who are you, how did you find us, and how hot do you think Zorro was, anyway?

Hooray! Can't wait! I found you via Caren's pimpage at HCRW. (Hooray for pimpage too.)

Love the new site! I'm glad the design worked out for you gals. ^_^

Zorro is fantastic!! I found you through Suzanne Welsh sending out posts. Looks like a great site with fantastic authors!! Good luck.

Thanks for stopping by, Sonja, Lyndsey and Judy! Lyndsey is the genius responsible for our awesome Romance Bandits banner. Thank you for setting the tone for our blog, Lyndsey. All of you check back, because one thing the Romance Bandits promise is a really good time. Come back, bring friends!

Yay for pimpage. That makes me chuckle. :)

Antonio Banderas as Zorro - rrrr!

Caren Crane said...

Trish, you are so right about Antonio Banderas. Ay, carrumba! I even thought he was hot when I took my daughters to see those Spy Kids movies. How sick is that?

Claudia said...

What? No pic of Antonio as Zorro? What's up with that? LOL

Congrats on the blog site; it looks fun and fantastic.

Good luck!

I was lured here by the fabulicious Caren.

Thanks Claudia and Deb! Having you guys stop by can only mean great things will come to our blog. ;-)

If others don't know, Claudia Dain is one of the goddesses at The Goddess Blogs and Deb Marlowe was recently featured there, blogging about her debut novel. Thanks for stopping by, ladies!

I too was lured here by lovely Caren. Looks like a lovely spot to play!

Zorro. Sigh. Loved him as a child, love him as a woman. I even watched the abysmal sequel to Zorro, just for Antonio!

What a great blog, can't wait to visit it regularly! I found this site when Tawny said she was being interviewed, or blogged, or something. LOL

Caren Crane said...

Welcome Deborah and Jill! I'll out "Deborah" and let you know that was none other than Sabrina Jeffries!

Jill, any friend of Tawny's is most welcome at Romance Bandits. Tawny is a Bandita of the first water! Please come back. And be sure to let your friends know how fabulous we are. ;-)

PIMPAGE?!?!
Caren, have you been holding out on your old Aunty and fellow Bandits? ;-)
And VERY BIG HUGS to Lyndsey for our TOO KEWL banner!

As for Antonio... What can Aunty say? She's too busy drooling! Okay, I will say he truly is a man for all generations! My bestest friend Whit (she was the one keeping Aunty from nervous collapse at the 06 GH/Rita ceremony) went to see the first "Zorro" with her Mom and her Great Aunt (no not me) and ALL THREE drooled over Antonio!

Caren Crane said...

Not to worry, Aunty C! It's not so much "pimpage" as charmingly-worded arm twisting. Though I may have made promises that we will entertain and provide the Wild Weekends for which we are infamous.

We will have no trouble living up to the hype, believe me! As for "pimpage", there is nothing wrong with showing off our wares for a willing audience, now is there? ;-)

Tawny said...

Woot! Isn't it purty here? And we have pimpage too? Doesn't get much better than that.

Waving hi to Jill!!! And laughing at Caren... don't think I don't know you're just lovin' me cause of my secret lusting for statistics!

As for Zorro-- any man with that talent with a... sword *beg* is my kinda guy!

Caren Crane said...

Oh, Tawny. Your secret geekdom isn't the only reason I am such a fan! But it doesn't hurt, either. For anyone who may read this, please note that I am, by training, an electrical engineer. That explains many things about me, including my penchant for numbers. It doesn't explain my obsession for statistics, but I blame that on my parents. It must be their fault, right?

Anna Campbell said...

Hey, guys! We've got REAL people visiting! How kewl bananas is that? And such stellar guests (Sabrina Jeffries - be still, my beating heart!). Actually, I'm a long time Zorro fan - love Tyrone Power, adore Frank Langella. Antonio? Man, can we be Banderas not Banditas?

Caren Crane said...

Ha! Yes, Anna, we can be Banderas, but might not Melanie Griffth take issue with that? Hm. A quick check of my thigh circumference says that Melanie may be safe. =:-0

Love the new site I found it from a message by Anna Campbell on the Avon Authors message board. I will be dropping by often.
Have Fun

What a way to fire the blog off in style! Great stuff, Caren!

ShanaGalen said...

Hi! I found you because Anna posted on the Avon Bulltein Board. Your blog looks fun!

Keira Soleore said...

I would do anything, anything for Antonio Banderas as Zorro, even if, perhaps especially if, he were to cut my dress off me in a fencing duel.

He was hot. He had panache. He had perfect line-delivery. And oh, did I mention: He was hot?

Lexi said...

Hey there! Found you through Christine's post to Contest Alert. I'm Lexi and I write short contemporaries set in Scotland. When too many people tick me off, I go back to my roots and work on my romantic suspense manuscripts as well! Oh, and Zorro? Sorry, not my kinda guy!

Suzanne Welsh said...

Glad to see so many people visiting us. As someone already said, come back often, bring friends!

Antonio as Zorro. A sexy tortured hero with a sense of humor and skills! MMMMmm...

Okay, now I have to wipe the drool off the keyboard!

Great site! Saw a posting about you on the Sacramento Valley Rose loop. Zorro doesn't really do it for me, but always on the lookout for a hottie ;-)

Aunty Cindy said...

YAY, Susan!
Glad to see one the the Rosers made it over!

Anna Campbell said...

Man, this is turning into a partay! Hi, Avon girls Helen and Shana. Thanks for popping over. Keira when you talk about Zorro cutting dresses off, I swear the temperature went up ten degrees!
Welcome, everyone else!

Beautiful blog, ladies!!! Joan told us about it at Celtic Hearts and I had to check you out. Love the design and interesting posts! I vote for Antonio. Hot!
