Gooood Morning, November!!! (Sorry, couldn't help it. I had to put in one last Jack-O-Lantern!)
So check it out, everyone! In addition to our usual lineup of witty, scintilatingly funny Romance Bandits, we've got a whole host of fun and excitement in store for you.
On Monday, November 3, we've got Bandita Anna Campbell bringing you the BATTLE OF THE HEROES. What, you may ask, is the Battle of the Heroes? Ahh, well, you'll just have to tune in and see, now won't you? :> I promise you, you won't be sorry if you start your Monday morning with the Romance Bandits. You'll hopefully NEVER be sorry you started a Monday with us, but on November 3, you'll be overjoyed. Seriously. Promise.
You don't believe me? Jeeeesh, tough crowd. Okay, so the four great historical authors, Nicola Cornick, Bronwyn Scott, Michelle Willingham and Amanda McCabe, who will launch Harlequin's sexy e-shorts series, UNDONE!, will be Anna's guests. They'll introduce the men in their stories while Anna Campbell tries to referee a battle of the heroes! It should be huge fun and one lucky commenter will win downloads of all FOUR stories.
See? Happy now? It WILL be fun.
Oh, and if the heroes aren't good enough (really, you ARE a demanding lot, aren't you?) :> Anna Campbell is offering a new contest through her website. Her November/December contest offers THREE lucky readers the chance to win a signed copy of her new Avon release TEMPT THE DEVIL. Call by her contest page for details: http://www.annacampbell.info/contest.html
On November 5, Bandita Beth Andrews will be bringing you Silhouette Desire author Tessa Radley. She'll be talking about her Saxon Brides series and you won't want to miss it. Woooohooooo!
On November 6 Bandita Aunty Cindy (Loucinda McGary) will be hosting her fellow Sourcebooks author, the effervescent Robin Kaye. She'll be joining us to talk about her forthcoming debut Sourcebooks release, Romeo, Romeo. This one's going to be a must read, I can tell you! First in a trilogy about domestic gods, you'll have to get in line to see what happens next...and who wins a copy!
On November 7 Bandita Nancy Northcott will bring you the ever-popular Gina Robinson. She'll be guesting with us to discuss her forthcoming book Spy Candy, the story of a would-be Bond girl whose trip to a fantasy spy camp lands her in danger, intrigue, and love.
On November 9, Bandita Nancy Northcott will bring us another fabulous guest, Debby Giusti. This wonderful Steeple Hill Love Inspired Suspense author will discuss the road to publication and her fourth release, the first in her Magnolia Medical series, Countdown to Death. Here's a taste: When five people in a small town contract a deadly disease, a medical researcher races the clock to find a cure, with the help of a handsome, possibly dangerous recluse.
Check out Bandita Nancy's cool contest on her website, http://www.nancynorthcott.com/! This the first contest Nancy's offered and is open to her newsletter subscribers. The writer prize is a bundle of useful books--Stephen King's ON WRITING, Jane Yolen's TAKE JOY, Martin Brice's A CHRONICLE HISTORY OF FORTS AND FORTRESSES, and Daniel Pool's WHAT JANE AUSTEN ATE AND CHARLES DICKENS KNEW, along with a decorative bookmark.
The reader prize is a blue stuffed dragon, half a dozen mass market novels in various genres (none by her personal friends because she finds picking among their books impossible), and two decorative bookmarks. Hie thee to Nancy's website and enter!!
On November 12 Bandita Aunty Cindy (Loucinda McGary) will be drawing another wonderful new Sourcebooks author, Cheryl Brooks, into the Lair. The second book in her sci-fi-fantasy series, Warrior, is out in October. Check in on the twelfth for another giveaway!
On November 17 Golden Leaf winning Bandita Christie Kelley will host an author with a split personality. B.H. Dark, a top Samhain author, will be with us. In case you're actually WORRIED about the split personality thing, don't. B.H.Dark is really the writing team of Kathy Love and Julie Cohen! Come make them both welcome.
If you're one of our writer pals amongst the Bandita Buddies, make sure you've got the final polish going on your Golden Heart Entries. Intent to enter and fees for same are due into RWA in Houston on November 17. Whooo-hoooo! Go Banditas! Go Bandita Buddies!!
Oh, and lest you worry that December cannot possibly hold a candle to the excitement we have in store in November, check out December 1! *Drum Roll Please!* We're thrilled to welcome back a Lair favourite, NYT best-selling author Eloisa James. Wooohoooo! Be sure to visit - we have a fun day in store for you all, as Eloisa celebrates the launch of her upcoming book in the Desperate Duchesses' series "When the Duke Returns." She'll be bringing Villier and as if that wasn't prize enough, there will be books galore!
And so the Golden Heart-ers don't feel lonely, you potential Rita Candidates need to get your bums in gear too. Fees and intent to enter are due into RWA in Houston on December 1!

Wow, Jeanne, that's a super lineup. Lots of November excitement in the Lair!
WTG, Elyssa on luring the GR back to your place!
I agree, we have an AWESOME bunch of guests in addition to our usually madness and mayhem. ;-)
I know several of the Banditas are busy polishing GH entries, and I'm happy to announce that my Rita entry is already DONE! Everyone keep your fingers xxed for me and The Wild Sight!
AC
Ahhhh so excited about so many of those books :D more *squee* and Happy All Saint's Day :)
Oh goody! I can't wait! So much good reading and good fun and excellent guests in store this coming month!
And congrats, Elyssa! How's the GR faring? Did he bring along his Halloween loot? ;)
Congrats on the GR, Elyssa.
Wow, November is jam-packed with great guests.
Wow,it is going to be exciting here in the lair this month.
Congrats on the GR Elyssa, is he still hyped up with candy??
Good morning everyone! Elyssa, you're gonna have to detox that bird, with all the candy and excitement he got at Pat's yesterday. :> Hope he behaves...or is that an oxymoron, a behaving GR? Grins.
We do have a fab-o line up, don't we. I had to laugh as I reread the post this morning. I'm betting y'all can tell where I just cut and pasted from what several of our Bandita's sent me...favourite...call by the website? Hmmm. Nope, not "My" voice there. Grins.
Ahhhhh Aunty Cindy, once again we will find ourselves at daggers drawn as we compete in Rita! Isn't it lovely, our entries are as done as they're gonna get, right? Ha! OOOH! BTW, finally found a copy of The Wild Sight at my Barnes and Noble! Yeah!!
I'm looking forward to all these marvvy guests, as well as our own pithy Banditas. Do we have any launch parties this month? Ladies? Anyone? Buehler?
Sounds great!
As it is November, I just have to add this one:
Miljoonasade: Marraskuu (November):

Elyssa, congrats on the sugar-coated Golden Rooster! Um...he may need a bath to get the chocolate out of his feathers.
Jeanne, did it take you like 8 hours to put this post together? Dang, there's a lot going on this month! Please note, everyone, I am a slackard and have no guests popping in. I'll remedy that in future.
Minna, I loved the song! It has a sort of Peter Gabriel vibe and I am an unabashed Peter Gabriel fan. I feel like I need to learn to speak Finnish, though. At least I assume they are Finnish. I know nothing of Nordic languages. I'm missing out on a lot of great lyrics!
Hey Minna, that's cool! Like Caren, I wish I spoke Finnish. Really great sound.
It took awhile, Caren, but although it FELT like 8 hours, I don't think it was. Ha! (Kinda like labor. Seems like forever, really just ____ hours - fill in your time) Heehee
But the sheer NUMBER of great guests has me excited. Wow. Oh, and Eloisa James on the first.
Weeee--another fun month. I just wish sometimes I wasn't an actual Bandita so I could be in the mix for all the giveaways! Pooh! ;-)
And here's to all the Rita and Golden Heart entrants! Go you! :-)
Next year for you too, Kirsten!!
Very Exciting!
So how many of our B's and BB's are entering?
Golden Heart anyone? Buehler?
Rita lady for anyone?
*Raises hand* I'd like one.... Grins. Gotta fight off some NYT Bestseller for it though I'll bet. Maybe babysit a dragon or something. Promise my third born (NOT happening...) Grins.
Elyssa with the GR again! You guys are developing a little thing, aren't you?
November sounds great! Thanks, Jeanne, for the preview! Sorry I couldn't make it to the blog yesterday--we have little ones & Halloween in a verrrrrrry busy day. Thank god they come home at the end of it with great big heaping gobs of candy!
Anyway, the guests sound great & I'm pulling for everybody to finish up their Golden Heart entries in time! Go, go, go!!
Yes Caren, it's Finnish. Actually, Finnish is not one of Nordic languages. Nordic languages are for instance Danish, Swedish and Norwegian and actually, English is related to those languages, too. If you look at Engllish texts written 1000 years ago, they look more like Swedish than English. Finnish, on the other hand, is part of the Finno-Ugric language group. Other languages which are part of this group are for instance Estonian, Karelian language (there's also Karelian dialect one of Finnish dialects, which for instance I speak),Hungarian, Khanty and Sami.

Hi Susan! Isn't Halloween fun w/ the kiddoes? I lurve it. (Obviously!)
So glad you got to pop by today! Don't we have a cool line up?
Hey, you're coming out next year, right? Right? So in 2010, we'll be rooting for Rita for YOU!
Grins.
Minna, you are always a font of info and cool stuff. Thanks for that. I love stuff about languages and all that. My DH's grandmother was from Stockholm and I've been trying - in vain - to learn some Swedish to decipher her address book and letters. It's an amazingly complex language.
Then again, so is yours! How many languages do you speak? I know you told us one time...
It's an amazingly complex language.
I could say the same about English.
I speak Finnish, English, Swedish, rusty German and even rustier Japanese. When I took some German lessons in NDSU in order to refresh my memory, I had this slightly schizophrenic feeling, since I was studying one foreign language with the help of another. But now I'd really need to pull myself together and start studying those two languages rusty again. And I would also like to learn Italian and Estonian.

Way to go, Elyssa!! Take good care of him! And don't let him out of your sight!
Wow, what a great line up for November!! Party in the house every night! Then again, with the Banditas, I expect no less!
Yes, I am entering my second novel, The Raven's Heart, in the Golden Heart! Or at least I hope to!
Spent a great day with Trish Milburn at the Southern Magic Readers Luncheon. We had a ball and a very funny group at our table! Thanks for the chocolates, Trish. Unfortunately they did not make it all the way back to Wetumpka! YUM!
Hey Louisa! *Waving* Glad you popped by. :> Good on you for entering The Raven's Heart in teh GH. We'll have sabers crossed for you to final. Grins.
Crossed sabers? How can I lose! Thanks, Duchesse!
Raising little Golden Heart pendant....A couple of my boys will be in the running...as long as one gets his shield shined in time :-)
Joanie, is that like if you get your room cleaned up you can go? :>
LOL, yes, Jeanne...very similar.
Got shield wax?
Snicker, Joanie. :> As a matter of fact, I do. Bwah-ha-ha!
(Got milk, too....three kinds: chocolate, vanilla soy, and reg'ler!)
The really WICKED Banditas are out tonight!
Bwah-ha-ha...but of course. It's the night after the ghosts were out, so now, the Bandita's are out!
Wow! What a great line-up and what a fabulous Coming Attractions post, Jeanne! Thanks so much for letting everyone know all the fun we have to look forward to this month :-)
Best of luck to all our Golden Heart and RITA entrants! I entered NWHF in the RITA - now if I could just remember to send the books in, I'll be all set ;-)
YEAAAAHHHHH, Beth! :> We'll be rooting for you!
Hey, everyone, if you've not read Beth's Not Without Her Family, you must buy it now...FAB read! Grins.
Wanna come be a bad bandita with us, Beth? Louisa thinks all the Wicked gals are out tonight. Looks like you're guilty by association! Grins.
Wow, that's one exciting line-up, Jeanne! And I must say, you have a mean style when it comes to doing what's coming up posts!
Ely, congrats on the chook!
