September's Coming Attractions!

by Anna Sugden

Phew! Now that we're beginning to recover from Jeanne's awesome launch party ... Zach and the hockey hunks are offering restoratifs and massages ... well, Zach is busy with me, but you can help yourself to one of the others ... it's time to celebrate a new month in the Lair.

A great way to kick off that celebration will be to rush out and buy Jeanne Adam's Deadly Little Secrets - available from September 7th - and Tawny Weber's Riding the Waves - available now!

Or you can click on the cover links here, which will take you straight to Amazon!

And, if that's not enough, here's a tempting taster of the fabulous guests who will be dropping by the Lair this month.

We kick off the month on September 2 with RITA winner Molly O'Keefe (www.molly-okeefe.com), who will be talking about her favorite musician and giving us the scoop on her Superromance trilogy, The Notorious O'Neills, starting with The Temptation of Savannah O'Neill!

On September 3rd, Aunty Cindy hosts paranormal romance author Kendra Leigh Castle,(www.kendraleighcastle.com) who will talk about her new release from Harlequin Nocturne, Renegade Angel. She'll also be happy to answer questions about her other shape-shifter books, and about the new furry beastie in her life.

A Lair favourite returns on the 6th when Jo Davis (www.jodavis.net)talks with Suz about her newest erotic spy romance, I Spy A Naughty Game, the second in Jo's seriously sexy SHADO Agency series. And the pair will have a hint or two about the next firefighter book and something new coming from our friend Jo.

On 7th September, Foanna hosts debut Australian author Christina Phillips (www.christinaphillips.com) who will talk about Forbidden, a smoking hot romance between a Roman aristocrat and a Druid priestess!

Another Lair favourite Nicola Cornick www.nicolacornick.co.uk) joins us on the 16th September, to talk about Whisper of Scandal, the first book in her new series.

MJ Fredrick, yet another Lair favourite, returns to the Lair on 19th September to celebrate the September 6 launch of her latest book, Sunrise Over Texas, from Carina Press, the story of a woman struggling to hold her family together, a man who lost everything and the struggles the two of them endure in the new land...and with a new love.

Addison Fox (www.addisonfox.com)is back to bring us another of her sexy Zodiac Warriors in Warrior Avenged. This exciting new series is only book two of her Warriors of the Zodiac series with plenty more paranormal Zodiac Warriors to come. Check out what has Suz so hot....really....about this new book.

Popular thriller writer Shane Gericke (www.shanegericke.com)joins us on September 24th. Keep an eye out for his new book, Torn Apart!

Rounding off the month on 27th September with another Lair favourite, Miranda Neville (www.mirandneville.com) who will pop by to tell us about the second book in her Burgundy Club series, The Dangerous Viscount.

And, don't forget Anna Campbell is running a fantabulous contest - she is giving away TWO Change of Season Reading Packs in her latest website contest. Each AWESOME pack will include signed copies of My Reckless Surrender by Anna Campbell, Sweetest Little Sin by Christine Wells, His Mistress for a Million by Trish Morey, The Greek's Convenient Mistress by Annie West, Dark Deceiver by Pamela Palmer, and either Does She Dare? or Risque Business by Tawny Weber. Just email Anna on anna@annacampbell.info and tell her one other book by each of these authors (the website links are on her contest page to make it easy) to go into the draw. For more information, please visit Anna's contest page. http://www.annacampbell.info/contest.html

So, with September starting, schools back in business and autumn just around the corner, tell me what are you most looking forward to this month?

Jane said...

I'm definitely looking forward to Jeanne's upcoming release. I also can't wait to read Susan Andersen's new release.

Congrats on the GR, Daz.

Have fun with the GR, Daz!

What a fabu line-up, VA! Thanks so much for putting that together.

I'm looking forward to glorious spring weather, and a chance to see my lovely FoAnna at the Brisbane Writers Festival this month!

Deanna said...

The GR is being taken out for a long and bit power walk. It's time he had some exercise thrown his way!! :-)

Unknown said...

Well done Daz enjoy that power walk with him

Whoo Hoo what a month ahead so many fantastic visitors and I can see my must have list growing I can't wait to get a copy of Jeanne's new one.

As Barbara has already said it was the first day of spring here and what a beautiful day it reached 25 celsius today so I am looking forward to nice days reading some great books and I can see all the flowers starting to bud.

Have Fun
Helen

Anna Sugden said...

Congrats, Daz! Have fun with the pesky bird.

You're right - he's been lacking exercise since P226 let him off his training!

Anna Sugden said...

Happy spring, Barb!

It's a glorious late summer's day here - the warmest we've had for weeks!

You know how we like to tempt you with our guests, so you have plenty of great reading to keep you occupied no matter which season it is!

Anna Sugden said...

So excited about Jeanne's release too, Jane! If only we got it before the UK release date -w e don't get it until October!

Ooh Susan Anderson has a new one too?!

Anna Sugden said...

Hey Fedora! How are you?!

I think everyone is looking forward to things settling down into a regular schedule. I don't even have kids and I'll be glad when things are back to normal!

Anna Sugden said...

Ooh - lucky you and FoAnna - getting to have fun together in Brisbane. Can't wait for our trip Down Under next year - we already have the DK book on Australia!

Anna Sugden said...

Hi Helen - you must be signed in as someone else today ... Arra?!

Happy spring to you too!

Funnily enough, our flowers are having a second lease of life right now. I think the weather has fooled them into thinking it's spring again - not complaining!

Gillian Layne said...

August--good riddance!

September--welcome! Your line-up looks awesome, as usual. We're all back to school and work with a vengeance, so it's all busy, busy, busy around here.

pjpuppymom said...

Great line-up! Looks like it will be another fun month in the lair!

What am I looking forward to in September? FOOTBALL!!! College football kicks off this week and I am so ready! My Florida State flag is hanging out front and I'm all set for another season of jumping, cheering, screaming, tailgating and enjoying college football! :)

Also looking forward to crisp mornings, cool nights, trees filled with apples in local orchards, colorful leaves and visits at the Dish from two Banditas: Tawny and Jeanne!

Anna Sugden said...

Aww - sounds like you didn't enjoy my birth month, Gillian.

I'm sure September will make up for it! Make sure you make time for yourself in this busy, busy, busy month!

Anna Sugden said...

Yay! A gal after my own heart, PJ! Not just because you're a sports fan either, but because you're partying with our lovely Bandita authors too!

Our apple trees got caught by the late frost in May, so unfortunately, they're bare!

pjpuppymom said...

Yay! A gal after my own heart, PJ! Not just because you're a sports fan either, but because you're partying with our lovely Bandita authors too!

Nobody better to party with, Anna!

Anna Sugden said...

Mwah! That's why we love you, PJ, and all the Dishy Dames!

Gannon Carr said...

Another fantastic lineup in the Lair! I love Addison's series! I've been lucky enough to read (and review) both books. In fact I'm working on my review of WARRIOR AVENGED right now. Very hot warriors!

And speaking of heat, I'm looking forward to bidding the summer heat adieu this month and welcoming the cool, crisp air of fall.

Jeanne (AKA The Duchesse) said...

Hey Daz! You got the Golden Rooster! He's a rascal, so watch out for him! And keep him busy. If he's got too much free time he drinks too much and orders stuff from QVC.

Nancy said...

Daz, congrats on the rooster!

Anna, what a great month we have lined up! I heard Molly O'Keefe speak at M&M last year (Caren was there, too), and she was great.

Well, of course I'm looking forward to DragonCon. I'm sure everyone is stunned by this announcement. *g* I hope I get to see Trish and Tanya Michna for more than 5 minutes, which is all we had last year, with so much going on.

We're also starting college trips, and we've applied to adopt a dog through the local golden retriever rescue group. So we're hoping to welcome a new family member this month.

The boy has "narrowed" his college choices to his top 8 (!), so we'll take the first college visit sometime this month. If we're lucky, the initial visits will result in further narrowing.

Yeah, I'm actually looking forward to all that, not just listing my calendar. :-)

Jeanne (AKA The Duchesse) said...

Hey Barb! You can have the warmer weather. I, for one, am DONE with it. Ha! Its gonna be in the 90's (farenheit) again today. URG!

Still, you're right on the reading part. Lots of good stuff!

Jeanne (AKA The Duchesse) said...

Jane, Thanks! I'm also with you on Susan Andersen's new release.

Jeanne (AKA The Duchesse) said...

Daz said: It's time he had some exercise thrown his way!! :-)

Allllllright! That'll put his tail feathers in a twist. But you'll never know it b/c he's too proud to show it...

Hey, that rhymes. Snork.

Jeanne (AKA The Duchesse) said...

Gillian said: August--good riddance!

Amen, sister, amen!!!

Jeanne (AKA The Duchesse) said...

PJ said: What am I looking forward to in September? FOOTBALL!!! College football kicks off this week and I am so ready!

Yippeeee! *Singing* Are you ready for some FOOTBALLLLLLL!

Yes. Yes, I am! (Go Carolina Panthers!)

Jeanne (AKA The Duchesse) said...

Anna said: Mwah! That's why we love you, PJ, and all the Dishy Dames!

Too right, Anna! I'll throw a bit *Mwah!* over toward the Dishies Four as well. I'm looking forward to being over at the dish on the 16th.

Jeanne (AKA The Duchesse) said...

Nancy said: Well, of course I'm looking forward to DragonCon. I'm sure everyone is stunned by this announcement. *g*

Grins. Yep. We're all shocked and surprised....NOT! Heehee. Looking forward to hearing allll about it when you and Trish get back.

Way cool on the dog and the college trips. I remember those trips with my folks with great fondness. :>

Anna Sugden said...

You have such a cool job, Gannon - I'm envious of all your early reads!

Isn't it funny how you're looking forward to the cooler weather while we're looking forward to the warmer days of September - we always have what's called an Indian Summer, which is lovely.

Anna Sugden said...

Wow! What a busy month you have ahead, Nancy and what a great way to kick it off with DragonCon!

I'm so pleased that you'll be welcoming another furry baby into your home - that will be one lucky dog!

Good luck with all the college trips - I think it will be fun to see them through your son's eyes and see how he rates them compared to you - and on what basis.

Anna Sugden said...

I'll add 'Go 'Skins' to that chant, Jeanne. And, 'Go Manchester United' and 'Go Exeter City', while we're at it! (probably should add 'Go Cambridge United' for the hubby!).

And, it's not too long before we'll be chanting for the start of the hockey season - YAYYYYY!!!

Dianna Love said...

Wow, what a line up of amazing reads for this month ladies! I'm looking forward to cooler temps and some reading time.

Thanks for some new titles to stock up on. :)

Nancy said...

Anna, do you call it Indian Summer in the UK? That's what we call it here.

As to the new dog being lucky, well, they tend to realize very quickly that we're bossable.

Anna Sugden said...

Hey Dianna - hope things calm down for you a bit in the cooler weather too!

Anna Sugden said...

Yes, Nancy, we call it an Indian Summer too.

LOL about you all being bossable. I think most humans are very easily trained by their furry babies. I know our cats think they have us wrapped around their little paws. They're right too!

Janga said...

Another great lineup in the Lair! I know I can count on every month bringing new excitement when I hang out with the Banditas.

I'm especially delighted to see Molly O'Keefe among your September guests. I loved The Temptation of Savannah O'Neill and can't wait to read The Redemption of Tyler O'Neill.

And please pardon my promotion of the Eloisa James/Julia Quinn bulletin board, but Susan Andersen fans might like to know that she's our September guest at the bb and Burning Up is this month's book club selection. Susan will be dropping by to post and to answer questions throughout the month.

Anna Sugden said...

Actually, Janga - you reminded me that I still haven't posted the five lucky winners from Eloisa's visit last month - must do that this week!

Yes, we do try to fill your month with excitement, temptation, hunks and fun!

Loucinda McGary aka Aunty Cindy said...

Thanx for the KEWL coming attractions post, VA.

Oh yes! September will be a month to remember here in the Lair (don't blame me, Duchesse started the rhyming)!

Daz, way to put the GR through his paces. He's grown fat and lazy over the summer/winter and needs to toughen up!

Nancy, WONDERFUL news about you rescuing a new dog. Both of mine are rescues and I can't recommend it enough! Be sure to keep us updated.

Aunty's plans for the month are pretty much to lay low and work on the WIP. I need to get this thing FINISHED... at least the first draft! As Jo-Mama and I chant at our CP meetings "FTFD!" (finish the first draft)

Beth Andrews said...

Wow! So many great things happening in the lair this month! I can't wait *g*

I also can't wait to finish my current WIP. Only a few short weeks and this baby will be ready to be sent in :-)

Pat Cochran said...

Wonderful listing of special guests for this month, I'm
looking forward to visiting
with them!

Dios mio, as of this past
weekend, we were still under a heat advisory here in Houston.
The "feels like" number was around 114. This week we will almost have a cold front going! It will be down to 92 degrees for at least
3 days!

I know!! Mine keeps getting taller and taller....

Buffie said...

Another fabulous month in the Lair! How do you gals do it every single month??

What am I looking forward to this month? Easy -- a long weekend getaway, just the hubby and me. It's going to be bliss!

Louisa Cornell said...

Yay Daz !! Keep him busy! And hide the car keys!

SO many books and so little reading time. If I can't die until I finish off my TBR stack I am definitely going to live forever!

I am looking forward to ANY day where the temperature stays below 80! AND I would love a week or two without 200% humidity and the afternoon monsoon rains that make it even worse.

I am looking forward to finishing my current WIP and starting on the next one.

And, of course, I am looking forward to my daily visits with the Banditas. You ladies make me smile no matter how bad my day has been!

Deanna said...

Is happy to report that the GR walked 8,803 steps yesterday. *grin*

What am I looking forward to this month? Does Labor Day count? I'm going to be spending the day with my cousin and her family - her little girl and little boy - her hubby doesn't count :) because he's a grownup.
